Destiny is something enormously ambitious for Bungie, the studio having left behind the Halo series it helped create. A sprawling open-world comprised of several planets to explore, Destiny is co-operative, competitive and social all at the same time. It's a shooter first and foremost, but packed to the gills with RPG systems like loot, skill trees and levelling.
With so much going on in Destiny, we caught up with Bungie's Community Manager, David Dague, to talk all about the game's three distinct classes of Guardian - the Titan, Warlock and Hunter - the vast, fantasy-infused sci-fi universe, the wealth of modes and other content. Destiny will surprise and delight Halo fans, Dague tells us, although the games share only a few themes.
Bungie is looking to make something unique with Destiny, it seems, and you'll be able to discover what all of the fuss is about when the beta goes live on July 17th, ahead of Destiny's full launch on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 on September 9th. Get our hands-on preview here.
