A large portion of the developers at Crytek UK have downed tools in protest over pay, putting the future of Homefront: The Revolution in doubt.
That’s according to a report by Kotaku, which cites multiple sources claiming that staff are refusing to work as they haven’t been paid in full for months.
Around 100 developers have walked out of the studio, says the report, and it’s unclear how many intend to return. The fate of Homefront: The Revolution is currently unknown.
It’s not the first time we’ve heard murmurings regarding disquiet at Crytek UK, of course. A recent report claimed that employees have only received around a third of their wages since March, when Ryse 2 was said to have been canned.
There has been no direct response from Crytek UK about the issues, beyond stating that it is not about to go bankrupt. It’s believed that Deep Silver is currently in talks to buy the studio outright.
