Do you want those awesome Alien movie missions for Alien: Isolation, but don't want to pre-order the Nostromo or Ripley Editions? Don't fret, because you'll be able to do exactly that, as both the 'Crew Expendable' and 'Last Survivor' DLC missions will be available to download separately for the game post-launch.

Pre-ordering Alien: Isolation will give you a free upgrade to the Nostromo Edition, which includes the Crew Expendable mission, in which Ripley, Dallas, Ash and the rest of the gang look for a way to flush the Xenomorph out of the Nostromo's air vents.

Selected retailers like GAME and GameStop are also offering the Ripley Edition with both the Crew Expendable mission and Last Survivor mission, in which Ellen Ripley finds herself having to escape the Nostromo alone.

“Some of you have been asking if the two pieces of content are only available through pre-order or if we’ll be releasing them at a later date as well. I can confirm today that we do plan to release both Crew Expendable and Last Survivor at a later date and we’ll have more details for you guys on that shortly,” Community Manager Nee wrote in a Facebook update.

Alien: Isolation will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC on October 7th.

  • Looking good weaver
  • I wanna play as another character so I can smack her ass when she is flicking off them switches at the end.
  • Wish we could pre-order digitally.
  • mmmm i dont know neeed to see more of this game, been let down on alien games, i dont want this to be just a shinny polished turd, want some kick in gameplay
  • Still a dick move tho.
  • I'm still excited for this DLC, but it takes a little of the shine off knowing I'll have to pay extra money simply because I chose to buy it from Best Buy where I get all my games.
  • Hoping this game is a 7/10 tier game at the very least. I'm looking to this and Evil Within to satisfy my need for a horror game. Yes I know about Outlast but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet.
  • I think this happening was kind of obvious. No way SEGA/Creative Assembly would miss out on the extra revenue from nostalgic Alien fans who didn't get their version from GAME or Gamestop.
  • They will prob slap a few achs on these as well as an extra insentive to get people to pre-order it. The game will prob be shit. There hasn't been a good aliens game for a LOOOOOng time
  • Riiight!
  • @7 Outlast is good for the first half hour or so but it gets really tedious really quickly and its extremely repetative.. This game tho is looking really promising, fingers crossed!
  • @8 - Exactly. Did anyone *not* think this wouldn't be available to people who didn't pre-order the game? Spend thousands of dollars to create these DLC's and not sell it to everyone? That would be a more stupid move than leaving Gearbox to develop Colonial Marines.
