Microsoft Studios and new Killer Instinct dev Iron Galaxy have announced Maya for the upcoming second season of the Xbox One fighter, revealing that the Amazonian princess will be a high risk/high reward character packing a pair of fearsome daggers.
Her daggers - named Temperance and Vengeance - can be used as projectiles and they'll level up with consecutive hits. Once they're maxed out during a bout, they'll become an unblockable bouncing projectile that Maya can "juggle off of her opponent's face."
Should Maya miss an opponent she can lose one or both of her daggers, resetting their level in the process, and her punch buttons are connected to various dagger commands. Should she lose a dagger, the punch button linked to it will become an equivalent kick button instead.
Killer Instinct Season Two is set to hit Xbox One in autumn 2014, with the previously revealed TJ Combo, whose trailer included what appeared to be a tease for Cinder. Check out Maya in the image posted to the official Killer Instinct Facebook page below.
