"Each code will grant you 3 download keys, enough to field a full Fireteam on the console of your choosing!" Time to start begging people I don't know...Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 09:02 AM
They'd better allow a preload, given the short window of the xbox beta. All they have to so is block connection to the servers until the appointed hourMonday, July 14, 2014 @ 09:04 AM
Only problem with next gen to me is the download sizes. ye I know the games are bigger so will be a bigger download but not everyone has fibre optic this will take me around 8 hours to download. really hope that soon they start allowing you to pre load stuff on to your xbox so that when the games out your all good to goMonday, July 14, 2014 @ 09:11 AM
@3 - This is why i think, DIGITAL will not be succesful, souce for your games, physical disc still need to be here, my BB speed is ok bit shit, but im fine with it, gets meon the net to surf, not getting it download like 3-40 gig games NO WAY, and there is a lot of people whom have shite areas, bad, speeds, people who choose not to go over board on it etc etc....Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 09:16 AM
@1 If this goes anything like the Titanfall BETA then codes won't be needed they opened it to all on the second day, I guess they will want to get as many people playing this as possible to entice them to buy the full game.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 09:17 AM
to big for me to download =((((Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 09:22 AM
@2 They aren't sending the codes until the day it starts unfortunately.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 09:39 AM
i thought we are meant to be getting the beta on the 23rd yet it says on that screen shot release date 24th?Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 10:01 AM
@8 AU time.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 10:01 AM
@5 this beta is already short as hell tho its literally a 5 day beta it could be a 4 day beta if that screenshots release date is true @8 yeah i hope thats not true. betas short as hell as it is which is just stupidMonday, July 14, 2014 @ 10:50 AM
I can't understand why anyone on this site wants anything to do with this game, us Xbox gamers get alot less for our money. We get less content with PlayStation getting exclusive missions and items, they have the beta for more than double the time and as for DLC, more content and A WHOLE YEAR exclusivity before it comes out on Xbox for the same price. Bungie claim their not playing favoritism and care about both Xbox and PlayStation fans equally, they've got a funny way of showing it.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 11:22 AM
This will be over by the time it finishes downloading for me...Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 11:25 AM
@11 When deciding what to buy I don't worry about what I'm not getting (I don't own a PS4 so what they get is entirely irrelevant). I worry about what I am getting. And from everything I've seen, Destiny is going to be one of the best game I've gotten in a long time.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 12:02 PM
@11 Bungie do care about both sides equally but when Sony drops a bundle of cash in their lap and says "suck it" they're contractually obliged to play favorites. Meanwhile Bungie and Microsoft are just friends, no benefits.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 12:03 PM
@11 The expansions have additional Playstation exclusive content that will be exclusive until at least Fall 2015. They don't get the whole DLC exclusively like we do with cod.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 12:06 PM
I was hoping to buy this digital so obviously i cant pre order it, does anyone know is it possible for me to get a beta code any other way?Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 12:10 PM
@16 Pre order> get code> cancel pre order.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 12:17 PM
@16 ask someone who has 3 very nicely if you can use a code.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 01:32 PM
@11........really? Really? Come on dude, when have pre order bonuses EVER been so good that you should pre order on that given system? Pre order items are always shit after about 1-2 hours of game-play. NOT A BIG DEAL. Sure they get a few extra VS maps but that's no deal breaker. I own a ps4 and an xbone and will still be getting this game on my xbone. I like the controller better, less lag in on-line play, and most of my friends are on xbox. But hey, if u want that extra boost in the very beginning so bad - get the ps4 version.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 01:34 PM
@11 I totally agree with you. I hate exclusives (on either side). The only ones getting hurt are us gamers. This feels like such a bitch-slap. Seriously. Going from xbox-exclusive Halo to PS-biased Destiny is just petty and sad. Bungie makes a huge amount of cash, yet they feel the need to sellout like this? It's just so damn pathetic, and they think they're hurting MS? No, they're hurting the xbox gamers. I will not buy this game - simply because Bungie are undermining everyone who doesn't own a Playstation. We're supposed to pay the same price for less and delayed content? Nope. Not going to happen. I wish more people would cancel their pre-orders and not buy it. It would be awesome to see Bungies reaction if they actually had 0 sold units for the xbox's. Make them shit their pants. Either way - this game looks lame. Graphics aren't that great, concept is not new at all (the movie Oblivion is playing in my head whenever they talk about the story) and the gameplay looks repetative and boring. If you're about to disagree with me, just do this: WATCH ANY GAMEPLAY VID > COUNT HOW MANY TIMES THEY JUMP > REALISE THIS IS JUST A JUMPING GAME WITH HIGH-TECH WEAPONS > BUY AN ARCADE GAME INSTEAD! Did what #17 said, pretty stupid of me not to think of that myself, just not thinking today.. Anyway im registered for that on the 23rd il get the 3 codes!Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 02:09 PM
Man Im tired of seeing these fucking crybabies who stay whining about how much marketing has gone into the PS versions. Oh fucking well, man up. If it really bothers you that much (and if it does you're a weak-minded plebeian) then don't play it.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 02:11 PM
Got my Code already. Preorders from amazon. Prob will cancel my preorder and either go digital or wait for disc price reduction in a month or two... Not looking forward to this game too much. I am a casual gamer with little time to interact online with others. I like solo experiences or mp games where I can play short matches here and there.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 02:29 PM
#3, it doesn't matter for Xbox One and PS4 due to the sole fact that discs and digitals ARE the same size now.... If you have a disc copy of a game, check how much space it takes, then check the Xbox Store and you'll see it's the exact same size.....Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 03:48 PM
I wanted to get this on my PS4 but the Xbox One controller is THE BEST controller for FPS. That's way more important than some content.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 03:48 PM
lol people complaining about a beta...Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 04:44 PM
WTF I have no dam chance at trying the beta now. 12Gb that's me fucked.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 04:51 PM
Does anybody know the size of the download for the Xbox 360?Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 05:23 PM
Still haven't pre ordered. Will do Thursday.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 05:44 PM
Thank goodness I got a 320 GB HD. Cannot wait till this Beta.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 07:36 PM
I think it will be an open beta after a short while, see Titanfall. Because they want to lure as many ppl as they can get.Monday, July 14, 2014 @ 08:01 PM
#25. Exactly the reason I'm getting it for my xbox (that and friends) and not on my ps4.

There's not long to wait until Destiny's new beta kicks off and fresh details have emerged via a letter sent to GameStop employees. It provides further info on the contents of the beta, as yet unrevealed by developers Bungie.
According to the letter, the Destiny beta will include four story chapters, four multiplayer maps, a co-operative Strike mission and "a huge unique world to explore with your own unique Guardian". Meanwhile, a screen grab captured by a Reddit user suggests that the beta will weigh in at 12.63GB on Xbox One.
Those that pre-order Destiny can sign up for the beta through here. “Platform selection for the Beta is now available," wrote Bungie last week. "Each code will grant you 3 download keys, enough to field a full Fireteam on the console of your choosing!”
The Destiny beta kicks off kick off next week on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
