May have to pick this up at some point as I missed the games completely the 1st time around (except for the GWG halo 3 portion I played).Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 06:50 PM
Nice. Lockout is a must. Ivory Tower, Colossus, Midship and Warlock are my other nominations. Maybe even Desolation. That was a good small arena-type map. Beaver Creek will probably be in there, though, even though the original was remastered for Halo Anniversary. Headlong and Desolation shouldn't be either since they was also remade for Halo Anniversary. Those three should be excluded.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 06:51 PM
Edit... Headlong and TOMBSTONE, not Desolation. My bad.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 06:58 PM
Headlong won't be in there. Any map they remaster has to be fit for 4v4. Headlong does deserve it though - easily the best BTB map in the history of Halo (or any game for that matter).Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:04 PM
Nice! This was my favorite map.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:13 PM
it had to be thoughFriday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:14 PM
OMG!!!!! those graphics are INSANE!!!!!Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:15 PM
"May have to pick this up at some point..." -said like 75% of the people posting on this siteFriday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:16 PM
Backwash and Waterworks, please.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:17 PM
The Halo 2 Anniversary Cortana looks a little weird to me...seems like a mix of the Halo CE and 4 models. 343 GS looks kinda funky from the side too, but those cutscenes look awesome.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:19 PM
the vid is new news, Zanzibar remake is old, was confirmed about a week after e3 so far ascension, coagulation, Zanzibar and lockout are the know remakes don't know which of the other 2 they'll chose though personally hoping for sanctuary as a remake, the forge version in reach just wasn't the sameFriday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:34 PM
Even though I've played all the games first time round really looking forward to getting this collectionFriday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:44 PM
Containment and Waterworks please! This video could possibly be the best thing I've seen... ever.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:52 PM
Last 3 are Lockout, Midship, and Headlong.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 07:59 PM
@4: Headlong was the best BTB map in the history of Halo (or any game for that matter). You are correct. Waterworks is a close second.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 08:26 PM
This kind of pisses me off tbh. They said they WOULDN'T MESS WITH THE CODING! I swear, if they kill the big wheel super jump or the butterfly out of the map glitches in this one, I'm going to be upset lol. I know I can't be the only one that feels this way? Those is one of the funnest glitch maps!Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 08:27 PM

@14, While I don't doubt those might be the last three, you can't say that as if you are 100% certain.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 09:05 PM
Oh. My. Gosh. That trailer made the cutscenes look amazing!Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 09:15 PM
@16, This is just one of six Halo 2 Anniversary maps which is already confirmed to have no super bounces/glitches. The game will be bundled with these 6 remastered maps and all of the original Halo 2 maps. Which WILL have all, if not, most of their respective glitches in tact as they are running on original code. Although, 343 claimed that some of them MIGHT not work since the super bounces require pixel perfect jumps and the upscaling to 1080p fixes some of those points.Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 10:10 PM
'The sword is a key, and when I stick it in people, it unlocks their death'Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 10:31 PM
These graphics are beautiful. Too bad destiny doesn't look that good...Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 10:45 PM
@22 unrelated much? This game has nothing to do with destiny. OT: im so excited for this game! This was my fav halo game and im like a kid at christmas just thinking about getting to play Halo 2 again. So stoaked!Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 11:20 PM
Epic!!! That was one of my favorite Halo 3 maps, yeah didn't get into Halo till 3 very much looking forward to playing Halo 2's legendary multiplayer for the first time gonna be awesome... Now all we need is a Gears of War box set with HD remakes of 1 & 2 and we'll be all set...Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 11:45 PM
@22 Umm...made by bungie and touted as the "next big thing" from them? Sounds related to me...Friday, July 25, 2014 @ 11:47 PM
*23...whoopsSaturday, July 26, 2014 @ 01:30 AM
@8 nah, im a huge halo fan first day for me :pSaturday, July 26, 2014 @ 10:50 AM
@25 This has nothing to do with Bungie. 343 and Certain Affinity are updating Halo. Bungie let the license go when they left Microsoft.Saturday, July 26, 2014 @ 11:29 AM
The best Halo map is Sidewinder. It better be in the collection.Saturday, July 26, 2014 @ 11:59 AM
@28 I stand correctedSaturday, July 26, 2014 @ 12:09 PM
For me personally my favourite maps were all from the classic halo on pc (Bloodgulch , Hang em high, Side wonder). I think all halo CE had all the best mapsSaturday, July 26, 2014 @ 12:09 PM
@29 I always thought that terminal was the bestSaturday, July 26, 2014 @ 01:14 PM
Ummmm.. the part with Mercy dying is kind of a spoiler but otherwise looks really, REALLY good!!Saturday, July 26, 2014 @ 02:52 PM
So if I pass the trial of the big spinning wheel, do I get a sword that only works for me? :DSaturday, July 26, 2014 @ 04:29 PM
Ivory Tower and Lockout are a must.Sunday, July 27, 2014 @ 01:24 AM
@33 perhaps, but there's no indication he's actually dying, rather it just seems very likely if you haven't seen it before. Besides, it's 10 years old almost, I think the spoiler cutoff point has well & truly passed by now.Sunday, July 27, 2014 @ 02:28 AM
@4 @13 Headlong, Waterworks, and Containment(not in that order) get my nod for top 3 BTB maps in Halo 2. I say Halo 2 only because Danger Canyon is my favorite BTB map of all time in Halos.Sunday, July 27, 2014 @ 04:14 AM
Unless they release this on 360 I'm passing it up there's no reason I wanted a xbone yetSunday, July 27, 2014 @ 05:57 PM
Great for those who have never played the games but I like new games myself.Monday, July 28, 2014 @ 07:06 AM
I may need to pick this up at some point. Or rather, I may need to pick this up when it comes out..

The third of six maps to be remastered for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo 2: Anniversary will be getting a revamped version of classic multiplayer map Zanzibar; the one with the big revolving wheel at its centre. You may remember a take on the map called 'Last Resort' in Halo 3 too.
Zanzibar Anniversary will be available in Halo 2 alongside remastered versions of Coagulation - itself a remake of the almighty Blood Gulch map from Halo: Combat Evolved - and a remake of Ascension. That's three of the six announced so far.
Halo 2: Anniversary also adds new multiplayer modes and the new 'Gungoose' vehicle; a Mongoose with guns fitted to it, as revealed at the RTX 2014 panel earlier this month. Get the first image from Halo 2: Anniversary's Zanzibar map below, as well as an overhauled Halo 2 cut scene video.
