Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition To Allow Importing of Cross-Platform Saves

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition for Xbox One and PS4 will allow importing of save games from last-gen versions of Diablo III, Blizzard has confirmed. That means you'll be able to transfer your saved characters and save data from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game to the Xbox One or PS4 versions.
The save data transfer will apply to all last-gen formats, which means you can move a PS3 save over to the Xbox One version or an Xbox 360 save over to the PS4 version of Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition. The only thing you can't do is move saves between the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game.
Rockstar is planning a similar thing for Grand Theft Auto V when it launches on Xbox One and PS4. Moving your Xbox 360 or PS3 game save over to Diablo III for Xbox One or PS4 will simply require that you link your Gamertag or PSN ID to a Battle.net account, with the rest of the process handled through menus in-game. Sounds nice and easy.
Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition is coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 on August 19th, 2014.
