Dark Souls II players have dug up some unused movesets from the game’s code, sparking hope that the animations may be used in upcoming downloadable content.
In Dark Souls II movesets are tied to weapon types. Anyone who has played a Souls game will know that the style and timing of these animations is super important, so the emergence of new movesets is kinda important.
You’ll see the vid below. The moves were found by Steam Group /dsg/ and the vid was created by YouTube account, europa. Perhaps we’ll see the new moves pop up in the remaining two instalments of The Lost Drown DLC chapters; Crown of the Old Iron King and Crown of the Ivory King.
Awesome movesets here. Particularly like the This Is Sparta kick. After recently discovering the "Power Stance" my whole melee game has been changing anyway.
Here's hoping for some cool new weapons.
Am I the only one who mistakenly read this as moviesets? @1 reference to Sparta kick further confused me as I was waiting through half the video to see him kick someone in a pit.
Betting most of those kicks/punches are for unarmed weapons, maybe like some new Caestus or something. Really hoping that these aren't as broken as they look though, some of those moves would outright KILL the meta. But maybe that's what it needs, Idk about most people but I really grow tired of getting bum-rushed by havel with Santier's spear or CDGS. But really, the more melee we get the better, cuz Magic pretty much dominates PVP right now, with the minor exception of some very talented unarmed combatants.
