As the first Fable game without the guiding hand of Peter Molyneux, Lionhead has a lot prove with Fable Legends. It's a new approach for the series too, making its debut exclusively on Xbox One as an asymmetrical multiplayer adventure. Some fans are sceptical, but rightly so, says Game Director David Eckleberry.
Set centuries prior to the events of the main Fable trilogy, you'll find yourself amid the dawn of a heroic age, playing as a troupe of intrepid adventurers, as they tackle a variety of monsters and fantastical creatures in Fable's staple setting of Albion.
With a focus on the social aspects of multiplayer and a shift away from single-player, Eckleberry acknowledges scepticism from Fable fans, but assures that Fable Legends is still very much a Fable game. Find out how Lionhead is looking to address that scepticism and what elements of Legends makes it a Fable title.
Fable Legends has yet to be given a release date.
