Metro Redux is looking rather impressive. You need only watch this latest trailer and ogle the gameplay footage to see just how ambitious a remaster it's shaping up to be. Taking both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light and polishing them up for new-gen consoles, 4A Games is revamping the gameplay, as well as the visuals.
Enemy AI will be improved, as will combat and stealth mechanics, while weapon handling is described as "superior" and more responsive. Controls have been made more intuitive, and to further sweeten an already pretty sweet deal, Metro Redux will come with all of the DLC release for both games.
That means Ranger Mode for both games, as well as new playstyles, 'Survival' (get through the game with limited resources and tougher enemies) and 'Spartan' (get more powerful combat skills and loads of resources). You can see a load more in the new trailer, which features fresh gameplay footage aplenty.
Metro Redux will be coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on August 26th in North America and August 29th in Europe. You'll also be able to purchase Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light separately as digital downloads for $24.99/£15.99/€19.99 each.
