2K Sports has announced a brand new mode for the latest in its long-running wrestling series, WWE 2K15. It’s called 2K Showcase and allows payers to relive moments from a couple of WWE’s big rivalries.
The first of these is all about Triple H and Shawn Michael’s run-ins from 2002 to 2004, while the second focuses on John Cena and CM Punk which took place from 2011 to 2013. The mode will consist of 33 matches at launch, but further rivalries and matches will be offered at a later date, as DLC.
What’s that? CM Punk doesn’t really do WWE anymore? Well, the game's executive producer Mark Little addressed this in a conference call held over the weekend.
"Each year we try and create the best WWE 2K roster possible, and even though CM Punk is not currently appearing on WWE programming, we are really happy that we able to still provide for everybody this rivalry against John Cena and CM Punk as part of 2K15," he said.
WWE 2K15 is out on Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4 on October 28th in the US and October 31st in Europe.
