Microsoft Launching Xbox One ‘Free Play With Gold’ Feature?

Microsoft is launching a new “Free Play With Gold” program, offering Xbox Live Gold subscribers 24 hours access to Xbox One games they do not own.

That’s what an image taken by Xbox One users and shared on Reddit suggests. The pic shows Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood in the Games With Gold section of the US Store, along with the words “Free Play Day With Gold.”

Microsoft has not announced any formal details on the feature, but one of the Xbox Support Twitter accounts has at least acknowledged it. Responding to an enquiry about Free Play With Gold, the account Tweeted, “It's something that we're currently looking into. Keep an eye on your Xbox One.”

24 hours free access to games you don’t own? Sounds great to us. We’re contacting Microsoft for more.
