I'm so glad this great developer is working on Call of Duty ports rather than making more of those excellent Transformers games. Come on.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 06:45 PM
I'd prefer another Transformers game tbhThursday, August 21, 2014 @ 06:50 PM
Wow, talk about setting the bar low.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 07:02 PM
"Sledgehammer Games has been focused, from day one, on delivering a true next generation Call of Duty experience for the new consoles, specifically the Xbox One, PS4, and high end PCs," Sledgehammer told Game Informer. Know thats what I like to hear. Looking forward to my day zero edition.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 07:31 PM
So this is why Rise of the Dark Spark was neglected....Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 07:51 PM
Please make it shitty. We need to drop these ports to last Gen asap. Ik ill get thumbs down, but why would you pay for a lesser version of a game? Release new games for last Gen all you want like what assasins creed and borderlands are doing, but people please dont waste your money on ports of a current Gen game to last Gen, its impossible for it to be as good.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 08:14 PM
6 People will learn. The holdouts who are still running 360/PS3 will soon realize the system is dead. After Destiny what else do they have? Not much. Thank god the Master Chief Collection is XBONE only. And Evolve and Halo 5. Fingers crossed for FALLOUT 4. The only thing the 360 is doing is hindering the XBONE.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 08:22 PM
I agree whole 100% that High Moon a studio that created the Transformers Cybertron series is working on a Call of Duty Port instead of the next Transformers Cybertron game and that Edge of Reality a studio that specializes in ports developed the last Transformers Cybertron series entry Rise of the Dark Spark. Great thinking Activision!! Oh wait was there a mix up somewhere?Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 08:27 PM
So this is why we had to put up with a crappy Transformers game this year?, you disgust me Activision.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 09:18 PM
Another talented dev studio sucked into the Cod abyss. Enough already activision.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 09:50 PM
@6 and 7 People need to put their hands in their pockets or do one. I agree completely. I'm sick of my games being held back in terms of quality, when I paid so much for my cobsole, cuz cheap bastards wanna eek out every last penny from a dead console. Right, rant over hahaThursday, August 21, 2014 @ 10:25 PM
the games gonna suck no matter what generation of hardware it's on.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 10:28 PM
What a dirty little whore this IP has become, getting hands on with so many different teams...Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 10:56 PM
People are so wrong on this article... The last Transformers game was not even made by this developer, so no that is not why that game sucked, it would have sucked regardless. And no, being ported to last gen has no affect on the Xbox One/PS4 version, because AS STATED IN THIS ARTICLE, it is being made by two different developers. And if you hate CoD, then stop wasting your time clicking on every CoD article. When I see a game I dislike or have no interest in, I don't even bother clicking it. Why do you? And I have absolutely no problem with the 360 still getting games. Not everyone wants to spend $500 on a console when the vast majority of it's games are also coming out on a console that they already own. And if it's capable of it, then cool. No point on having them miss out on great games.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 11:08 PM
I just wish activision would finally move forward in their endeavors and create something new. Oh way they can't survive without their yearly install of cash-cow on demand. COD see what I did there. Glad I won't be buying into this anymore. GHOSTS was it for me.Thursday, August 21, 2014 @ 11:55 PM
Oh look, they called the 360 and PS3 "current gen".Friday, August 22, 2014 @ 12:01 AM
Eventually they will one out of ideasFriday, August 22, 2014 @ 04:11 AM
@16 right... Its bad enough general people doesn't realize 360 & ps3 are last but its way worse when the peoples whose lives are based on these facts don't know what the current Gen systems are then that's just sad...Friday, August 22, 2014 @ 05:13 AM
You said it, #1. I would also much rather see a direct sequel to FoC than another CoD.Friday, August 22, 2014 @ 07:58 AM
@11 I think you should take your cobsole back to the shop and ask for a consoleFriday, August 22, 2014 @ 08:07 AM
Well it was nice knowing you High Moon Studios. You'll be remembered along with the other studios that Activision has killed by forcing them to help work on Call of Duty games. You join Ravensoft and Neversoft in Call of duty limbo.Friday, August 22, 2014 @ 08:56 AM
@6,7 &11 you are small minded with no business sense. If you seriously think a dev is going to potentially lose a shit load of sales when the x1 around 10million users and the 360 has 60million plus only an idiot would not release a last gen version as well. And why should everyone else get punished because you bought into Ms and their bullshit so early with the x1?! Its not about being tight the only x1 game i currently have ANY interest in is dead rising 3 and im not buying another console for 1 game.Friday, August 22, 2014 @ 08:57 AM
Damn this rumor was true. Activation you better not turn High Moon into a last gen port studio, let them make what they want.Friday, August 22, 2014 @ 12:43 PM
@5, Rise of the Dark Spark was not developed by High Moon. So maybe this is why High Moon didn't make it, but its not why it was neglected. Also, what a waste of a great Development team.Saturday, August 23, 2014 @ 01:53 AM
@7 - Uh, the 360 is not hindering anything with the XB1. It's not our fault you jumped to the XB1 and have unrealistic expectations for this new console. I'll buy it when it seems worth it. Right now there aren't enough good games out to warrant a purchase. Thanks to the XB1, I've gotten tons of great games for my 360 at real low prices. I'll be staying with the 360 for another year easy. Too many XB1 owners blaming everything on 360 owners, why? It's not our fault. Bitch at Microsoft, or next time don't my a new console so soon.

The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare are being developed by Deadpool and Transformers outfit, High Moon Studios, Sledgehammer has confirmed.
"Sledgehammer Games has been focused, from day one, on delivering a true next generation Call of Duty experience for the new consoles, specifically the Xbox One, PS4, and high end PCs," Sledgehammer told Game Informer.
"Our focus is on innovation for the franchise, unrestricted by last generation hardware constraints, and the additional third year of development has allowed the team to make bold decisions to deliver on a new era in Advance Warfare."
"Current gen is also going to be great. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms are being developed by the talented team at High Moon Studios. They are committed to bringing an incredible X360 and PS3 Call of Duty game to fans. We've been working closely with those guys to ensure players get an awesome Call of Duty experience on all platforms.”
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC from November 4th.
