What about a remake of Saints Row 3 that is a true and worthy sequel to SR2? It'd be nice to actually get a good story again...Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 12:35 PM
I like the Saints Row games, but I feel they're becoming to frequent. Please leave more time for better development and to give us a chance to anticipate them.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 12:46 PM
@3 Thanks for the spoiler warningWednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 12:47 PM
If it is another saints row game, please don't be anything like the 3rd and 4th game. The first one really got me into the series, and the second one i played a lot too, but the 3rd i got rid of once i beat it and never played the 4th. sadly, most likely if there is a 5th it'll be like the 4th :/Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 12:47 PM
I'm sick of seeing GTA clones. They need to stop making these games so common and leave them as the true gems they are, I'm lookin at you GTA III.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 12:51 PM
@6: Tough shit.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 12:55 PM
I know a lot of us are sick of constant reboots but I reckon a reboot of the franchise on the new consoles and getting SR back to its roots, will do it the world of goodWednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 12:58 PM
Hope it's current gen.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:14 PM
A six foot dildo is what xbox one is missingWednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:20 PM
Here's hoping they take a leaf out Batman Arkham Knight's book and develop it next gen only so they don't have anything holding back. Here come the thumbs down.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:23 PM
SR1 was great. SR2 was ok. SR3 wasn't that good and SR4 was simply horrible. If they really wanna do this again, then go back to the beginning. SR can be similar to GTA and doesn't have to be that ridiculous and overexcessive.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:29 PM
All I have to say is: BRING ON MORE SAINTS!!!!!!Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:38 PM
SR4 Remastered? :/ Wouldn't surprise me.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:39 PM
I go along with the idea of returning to SR1/SR2 type of game; something like the old school GTAIII and Vice City, fun but not too crazy! I think that's where SR3 and 4 went wrong, just took it all way out of context and went too over the top. It would be good to see a Saints Row game like this, set in a different period, maybe look at the rise of some of the other original gangs etc.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:43 PM
I totally read 'volition' as Voltron at first. I was excited.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:47 PM
And still no Freespace sequel. Damnit.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:47 PM
I just want to see the franchise stay in the batshit insane direction. SR 4 is some of the most FUN I've ever had playing a game, so many hilarious and awesome moments to keep count.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 01:56 PM
I played SR1 religiously, had so much fun in te SP, then tried out PtP, and man was that a hoot. If they went back to the slightly over the top while still grounded in reality style of SR1, if be back in this series in an instant.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 02:28 PM
Fingers crossed the new one emulates IV. I want to see the Saints explore the whole galaxy.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 03:10 PM
#4, Sr3 has been out for nearly 3 years now, if you haven't played it yet then that's on you.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 03:28 PM
I loved Saints 3 & 4. So much dun and just plain crazy. Never played the other two, but heard they were good. Hope we get an announcement of Saints 5. I will be buying the crap outta that on day one.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 04:45 PM
Never played the first Saint's Row, but 2 was great! The Third was alright, and IV was also great. If they keep going with the SRIV direction, or if they go back to SR2 style, I don't care, I'll be happy with either one.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 04:56 PM
I'm gonna be honest and go in the opposite direct to many of you. I'm hoping that 5 will stay with the style of 3 and 4 and continue to be it's own thing with over the top humour and violence and NOT just another GTA clone where the only thing that matters is "realism." If I want realism I'll go outside, gaming is for escapism, bring on the crazy.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 06:27 PM
*Flushes Toilet*Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 06:45 PM
@2 Well, remember...they're only (assuming they are talking about Saints Row) revealing it on Friday...that doesn't mean it'd come out in November or something I have a feeling the next one will be out in 2016, to mark the series' 10th anniversaryWednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 08:03 PM
gotta say i hated the first 2 saints row games as they were too much like GTA (a series i despise) but number 3 and 4 really became their own game however don't false advertise like you did with SR4 as that was kind of annoyingWednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 08:28 PM
I'll buy it.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 09:00 PM
Saints row 4 was horrible, more like crackdown than saints row. Get rid of the superpowers and i'd consider it.Wednesday, August 27, 2014 @ 09:08 PM
love the saints row series, honestly, i prefer the over the top craziness to the cut & paste gang sims. SR4 was fun & crazy, just too short, even with the DLC.Thursday, August 28, 2014 @ 01:42 AM
i honestly cant bring myself to care, saints row 2 will always remain one of my favourite games but i could write an essay on just why saints row 3 and 4 were dreadful @6 dont you think its time to stop calling them that? it always was a stupid name, its a genre and not actually a common one or one that was started by GTA wedont call any other genres clones so why this one?Thursday, August 28, 2014 @ 03:55 AM
Should people still be complaining about spoilers to something years-old? Anyway @#12, that's why I love Saints Row and haven't been able to enjoy a GTA since Vice CityThursday, August 28, 2014 @ 05:03 AM
Saints Row 2 was terrible, in before fanboy cry babies beg for the game to be a mediocre GTA clone mod with filler again…. Saints Row 3&4 were great, all killer , no filler, real games as opposed to the copy and paste GTA that the first two were. Hope this is Saints Row 5, it better not be a crappy reboot back to GTA land..... A few thousand GTA trolls better not ruin what is becoming a now classic series. Saints Row 3&4 are some of the best games made. SR1&2 are objectively trash, outside of some of the more original activities. So much bad filler and copy and paste from GTA in the first two.Thursday, August 28, 2014 @ 08:04 AM
@33 Saints Row 2 was the best, Saints 3 and 4 were basically the same, there's nothing to do after the game finishes but run around endlessly in a dark boring worldThursday, August 28, 2014 @ 03:04 PM
how come all series get shitter and shitter the longer they keep going.. like gta and saintsThursday, August 28, 2014 @ 10:59 PM
@34 just to add to that 3 and 4 just werent funny in the slightest despite being sold on humour, they were stupid and immature which isnt necessarily a bad thing but thats all they were, there was no basis for the "comedy" and so it juts wasent funny and anything that was remotely comedic al was repeated over and over until it was a horrid chore to get through the game. at least we can be thankful they were only about 5 hours apiece so we didnt have to suffer them for long since all idea of content was taken awayFriday, August 29, 2014 @ 12:33 PM
@2 if they don't give COD a break I doubt they'll give SR a break. Companies love to milk everything they can till the utter runs dry.

Saints Row studio Volition looks set to be revealing a new game during PAX Prime in Seattle this week, with a special panel planned for this Friday, August 29th. The developer's new project will be unveiled during the panel, which will be hosted by Natalie Lander, the voice of Saints Row's tech expert Kinzie.
The event will take place from 10am-11am PDT (1pm-2pm EDT/6pm-7pm BST) on Friday, with the first "exclusive gameplay, art, and details" to be revealed for Volition's upcoming project. Deep Silver Brand Director Aubrey Norris, Volition Creative Director Steve Jaros and Volition Producer Jim Boone will join Lander as panelists for the big reveal.
With Kinzie's voice actress hosting the panel this Friday, could it be that Volition is preparing to reveal a new Saints Row game? It seems entirely possible, especially since the studio's Red Faction IP was acquired by Nordic Games following THQ's demise. Saints Row 5 seems like a fair shout, but all will be revealed on August 29th.
