Xbox One Gets Another Price Cut in UK

Microsoft has cut the price of an Xbox One in the UK by a further 20 quid. You can now pick up a vanilla edition of the console for £329.99.

It’s a big saving on the original price. When Xbox One launched in November 2013, it came bundled with a Kinect unit for £429.99. The last price cut came when Microsoft decided to abandon mandatory Kinect and slashed the cost to £349.99.

A number of retailers are now offering the Xbox One with a choice of game for £349, however the best deal would seem to be for the white Xbox One Sunset Overdrive bundle. You can pre-order it from Amazon for just £329.

  • Wow, they're really being aggressive with their pricing now. I wonder if Sony will follow suit? I wonder if they'll be holiday bundles for the X1? Are there already?
  • In Australia the xbox 1 without kinect is cheaper than the ps4. xbox 1 with kinect is same price as ps4. This is at EB games store.
  • They can keep dropping the price but until next gen games take over from redux versions of 2-3 year old games and cross gen releases the few of us that bought one early wont be joined by many newbies. If I had my time back I wouldn't have bought my XBone as apart from Dr3 and Ryse I've enjoyed nothing that my 360 couldn't have provided.
  • @3 and that would be exactly why i havnt gotten a X1 yet. i was going to get it with either batman or evolve but since both have been pushed back i am gonna wait a little longer.
  • @3 exactly why I've stuck with my 360. When there are enough games that are actually next-gen I'll upgrade, until then I can do without 360 games that have a nice coating of gloss. Still can't see me getting one until 2015, so hopefully the price keeps dropping.
  • @3 yea there's remakes but they're a very tiny minority. I bought my xb1 day 1 and have no regrets thanks to dr3, ryse, titanfall, and the best versions of games like wolfenstien, Lego marvel, watch dogs, ac4 and some great digital games including peggle 3, max and super time force. Plus it's only gonna get better. It was the same thing with 360 transition and always will be.
  • This is the exact same RRP I paid for my 360 at the exact same time in it's life cycle, so I don't think this is really a sign of desperation or anything (the PS3 wasn't even out at this point in the X360's lifecycle so was no real competition anyway).
  • Bought mine day one. Not regretted it.
  • @6 I totally agree. It's been worth it.From the excitement at the midnight launch till now. DR3 and Titanfall also the free games.
  • @3 I agree about the remastered titles. Its the same with PS4 too. Aside from Last of Us and maybe GTA V there isn't really anything that warrants a remaster so soon. Metro Redux was ok but it was a few years old.. Most other titles have barely been out 2 years. Until some good next gen exclusive's launch, there's still gonna be issues shifting new consoles. I think remakes should be offered as games with gold and PS+. Everyone with XBL Gold has already got Sleeping Dogs for free, although its undeniably a great game. I'm not interested in paying £45+ for a game I already have for free. All that being said, I'll admit XB1 has a few more good quality exclusive's over PS4.. But so far neither console has won me over.. I skip between them equally

  • still not picking one up until nearer release time for arkham knight.
  • With all the XB1 games coming out that price is a steal especially if you can get a couple of new games bundled in :)
  • Got mine day one and have everything thats released for it so far.
  • still won't get it at that price £250 is the most I'll pay for a xbox one
  • i thin it wil lbe 299.99 just after xmas
  • I'll consider it when it drops under £300, until then I still see no value playing glossed over remakes considering the sheer 360 backlog I have and the two free games I get every month. The One does have some good games, but still waiting to see a genuine system seller that makes me go out and buy one.
