Tecmo Koei has announced 'troop command action title', Bladestorm: Nightmare, for release on Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 in early 2015. It's the sequel to 2007's Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War. You'll assume the role of a mercenary fighting for either England or France in a series of missions inspired by historical events.
Taking place during the Hundred Years War, a conflict that raged between 1337 and 1453, Bladestorm: Nightmare enables you to represent the English House of Plantagenet or the French House of Valois. You'll command melee, mounted, ranged and other troops, while developing your own unique character, building their fame, gold and army.
The game will also feature a 'Nightmare' mode, which includes an original scenario that's not grounded in real historical events. It'll include 32 playable characters based on iconic historical figureheads of the time, such as Edward the Black Prince, Jean D'Arc and military leader La Hire.
Bldestorm: Nightmare is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PS3 in early 2015. Check out some screens below. You'll find more in the gallery.
