Want to give Dragon Age: Inquisition a go but still not sure whether it's for you? You're in luck. EA has flipped the switch to make BioWare's mahoosive RPG free to try this week on Xbox One, for all Xbox Live Gold members. The promotion allows you to play Dragon Age: Inquisition for six hours. It's the same offer previously extended to EA Access members.

To access the free trial, go to the Xbox One's dashboard, find Dragon Age: Inquisition's game page and you should see a "try for free" option. Click it and Bob's your uncle, you've got yourself six free hours with last year's best RPG. You can even unlock achievements, which is nice. If you enjoy the trial then you can then download the full prooduct for 40 per cent off, thanks to this week's Deals With Gold. You'll be able to pick up from where you left off in the trial.

If you enjoy the idea of receiving six hour trials of EA games, then EA Access may be for you. Exclusive to Xbox One the service offers up trials of games before they release. You'll also get full access to slightly older games, including Battlefield 4, Need for Speed Rivals and a smattering of EA Sports titles (full list here). You also get 10% off full EA game purchases. All of this is available for $29.99/£24.99 a year or $4.99/£3.99 per month.

  • All ready own it, bought it on launch and it quickly became my all time favourite game. Anyone who doesn't have it and loves RPGs should definitely at least give it a go.
  • 'Prooduct' lol... I bought this about a week ago have yet to play it, I heard it's a decent grind and would rather wait til after BL2 and Pre Sequel are out and completed so this has my full attention...
  • Would definitely recommend this to anyone who hasn't played it yet one of the best games on the One

  • I've been on the fence for a while, as I didn't like DA:O at all. Wasn't what I was hoping for. But given that I can play 6 hours for free and still get achievements, its worth a try. Costs me nothing then. Just hope I have the space left on my HDD. Perilously close to full capacity.
  • :( If you've previously played a 6hr Trial of this via EA Access you can't get another 6hrs.
  • That's just enough time to get to the Hinterlands and barely get anything done! :D Amazing game. Most enjoyable 170 hours I've played in a while.
  • Aside from the six hour limit, if it's the exact same as the EA Access "version" then there are places you can't go and things you can't do, because, trial. But well worth trying eithe rway!
  • someone quick post all achievements Possible within the 6 hr. Window for those of us that are curious.
  • After playing the trial yesterday for 6 hours straight, I took the plunge and bought the full game. $35.99 is a good price imo. The game is very massive, I don't know how many provinces are in the game but Ferelden alone was huge. I spent the remainder of my 3-1/2 hours just exploring. The graphics is amazing and environment is rich, beautiful, very detailed. I was surprised to unlock a couple of achievements through the trial. #6 - Look my profile up. Like #7 mentioned, I'll be investing a lot of time here.
