MCC still broken? In other news, grass still green, water still wet.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 02:32 PM
343 really dropped the ball with this collection what a huge mess of fantastic gamesMonday, April 27, 2015 @ 02:36 PM
It's nearly 6 months since this released and it's been absolutely disastrous. I'm happy I dodged this one, because completion is difficult and matchmaking is terrible from all accounts.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 02:39 PM
I jumped on splitscreen with the missues last night, doing some more of the campaigns, loving this collection :)Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 02:41 PM
I say this in pretty much every topic... how did they mess this up so badly!? This was money in the bag...Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 02:42 PM
#3 yeah, you can almost understand problems in the 1st week, but this is now ridiculous. Unfortunately I picked up the MCC on launch, but I certainly won't make the same mistake with Halo 5.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 02:56 PM
I stood up for this game for so long, too long. I am so done, since day one I have not been able to play without issues, I played Halo 2 a billion years ago with really crappy broadband, crappy tv crappy xbox, and it was brilliant, look at us now, remastared my arse ! As a big xbox fan and contributor, my patience is waring thin. Not cool. This is embarrasing. Before you ask me what this game has to do with asking, think about what game it is, come on.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 02:57 PM
@7 Myself ! I meant Before you ask me what this game has to do with Xbox as a console, think about what game it is, come on.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 02:58 PM
I personally haven't had issues playing matches I just wish it would find players faster. But 343 really dropped the ball sadly. Hoping Halo 5 runs great.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 03:04 PM
Ship now fix later seems to be the motto of gaming this gen.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 03:17 PM
@10 So true. Also, don't forget the next gen mantra of 'Remaster! Remaster! Remaster!' ;-)Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 03:45 PM
To the people saying they are staying away from Halo 5 because of the mess of MCC please remember MCC wasn't developed or worked on by 343 Industries. It was a collaboration of 4 other studios working for 343 whilst they were/.are doing Halo 5. That being said I still believe lots of the blame should go on both 343 and Microsoft for letting it get released in the state it was in at launch, but I don't have any doubt that Halo 5 will have a good launch. 343 can't afford to release Halo 5 in the condition MCC was launched in, it'd be the last bullet in the face for them.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 04:01 PM
I think I got lucky and haven't been having any issues. Achievements are popping up like they are supposed to and finding games on multiplayer is smooth. It suck so many are having issuesMonday, April 27, 2015 @ 04:17 PM
And developers wonder why I havent bought a game release day since watch dogs. Soooo many games just broken and buggy on release and for this not to have been sorted after 6 months is patheticMonday, April 27, 2015 @ 04:19 PM
If halo 5 works on release day I'm gona be the next prime minister.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 04:39 PM
I'm surprised they've managed to have this game broken at all still, I really thought it would have been fixed by now. @15: Watchdogs was one of the glitchiest pieces of dog turds I'd ever played.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 04:40 PM
still broken well thats news worthyMonday, April 27, 2015 @ 04:42 PM
I'm a Halo fan boy and I'm on track to have every Halo achievement done before Halo 5 is out. But I cannot overlook the fact that Microsoft/343i pushed this game out well before it was completed. It's fucking shocking that the holiday deadline and financial quarters were more important than the Halo name itself, which is now tarnished. They've really done themselves the biggest disservice as you cannot possibly hope to sustain a lasting and profitable franchise if you release a total clusterfuck that people traded in after the Halo 5 beta was over. Seriously, who's decision was it to release the game half finished? That person needs to be sacked. End rant.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 04:45 PM
I suppose the question here is: How much of this is 343's fault? Did they just do a really crappy job overall, or are they just highly suseptable to downtime caused by the near 24/7 DDOS'ing that consoles get [rarely taking down the consoles online but could that affect specific games?]Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 05:01 PM
Jesus dude, this is getting so embarrassing seeing as its a freaking 1st party title. Any interest I had in an Xbone bundled with The MCC is completely gone along with my hope/desire for Halo 5. I'll give MS till E3 to impress. If not, its PS4 all the way from here on.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 05:46 PM
@20 Lmao 343 wishes more people thought like you. Taking away their accountability and shifting the blame towards nonsensical bullshit. Gold star for you, pal.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 06:51 PM
I'm no dev, but it boggles my mind that these issues persist to this degree. How many years now have companies been delivering fully-functional multi-player? Why can this triple-A studio with bottomless pockets ('cause what wouldn't MS pay at this point to make this issue go away?) not fix it? WTF?! Embarrassing.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 07:25 PM
15 hahaha i bet no devs have ever wondered about your game buying . everMonday, April 27, 2015 @ 07:29 PM
How can it be so hard to fix MCC?Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 08:34 PM
Alert: Halo 5: Guardians will face same problems and thanks to TMCC's issues continue. :/ I do look forward Halo 5 but worry this might strike same problems. I knew they have plenty time until October this year but still. :?Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 09:36 PM
The only complaint I have right now is the fact that we have to find a new match after every game.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 11:10 PM
One thing i do want to say, Halo has always been the system seller to me, it's why I bought a 360, it's what gave me a tough choice between the ps4/xbox 720 before all of the anti consumer details for the xbox one where revealed. I've been a halo fan boy for years, heavily invested in machinima (when that was still a thing, unlike now, I've been in god knows how many projects at this point), I love the lore, love the multiplayer (even though 4 wasn't that great compared to others)... but this mess has just turned me from trusting that Halo 5 guardians will be the complete package it should be. That armour/skins are already being stripped from the game gives me even more worry. When I eventually get an xbox one, I'll be getting the Halo games regardless, but as it stands, it's not looking any time soon.Monday, April 27, 2015 @ 11:23 PM
I'll tell you what THE number one problem is with "Halo: he Master Chief Collection..." Microsoft's insisting that "Halo 2: Anniversary" NOT be released for the Xbox 360! Had they not pushed Halo:MCC to be released for the 10th year anniversary of Halo 2 (which is part of the collection, obviously)... and just released Halo 2: Anniversary for the 360, it would have been MUCH easier to make certain ONE GAME worked on a console it was designed for, and release Halo:MCC after it was TRULY bug-free (as much as could be expected), instead of cramming all those games into one pile, and releasing it so damn buggy - just to have it out for the H2 anniversary! If Microsoft (and 343) wants to TRULY "apologize" for the MCC... they need to release "Halo 2: Anniversary" for the Xbox 360 (I want a complete collection up to Halo 4 on the 360), make all future DLC for MCC (like "Halo 3: ODST") free for everyone, not just early adopters who played the game in the early, buggy days... and drop the price to $30.00 (disc and digital download) for buyers from this day forward - and a $20.00 credit on our Microsoft accounts for anyone who bought the game before now. I'd rather they just shutdown the game for one month (at least the multiplayer) and fix it instead of trying to do it "as the games are running." It's much harder to tune your car while someone is driving down the road, as opposed to having it in the garage, parked!!!Tuesday, April 28, 2015 @ 02:44 AM

You know that 343 started working on the next Halo right?Tuesday, April 28, 2015 @ 07:16 AM
The only problem I've had with MCC is being occasionally being disconnected while playing coop campaign online. Other than that it been all good. I'd certainly rather have a few minor glitches with this game and still have all the cool features and exclusive games that the Xbox one has than go back to a playstation. The few extra frames per second doesn't compensate for having no decent game bar maybe 2 games. Roll on E3.Tuesday, April 28, 2015 @ 09:32 AM
@32 the only really good games on either console are the mulitplats. MCC has gone from mostly unplayable to a frustrating mess that is less fun than the original versions. The console itself keeps crashing an all games like to quit on me every day. My Wii U (bught on launch 2.5 years ago) had only crashed 5 times and hasn't had a single broken game, and many games have been 10/10 games. I have the Xbox One for multiplats that don't come to Wii U and a few exclusives, but I don't think I'll bother with another exclusive after the debacle of MCC.

Halo developer 343 Industries has been forced to cancel one of its Halo: The Master Chief Collection tournaments in the face of continued connectivity issues plaguing its Xbox One remaster. Cup #1 of Season 2 in the Halo Championship Series won't be going ahead, it seems.
"We're aware of and investigating party joinability issues. As a result, we'll be canceling HCS Cup #1, and apologize for the inconvenience," 343 tweeted from the official Halo Twitter account last night.
The official Halo eSports league HCS Cup is a tournament that's been running for months in partnership with the ESL, with matches taking place as planned on 25th April. However, issues with the Halo: The Master Chief Collection prevented the tournament closer from taking place on Sunday.
Despite launching back in November 2014 for Xbox One, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is still being subjected to numerous problems that 343 is continuing to patch. The latest update, addressing online rankings, matchmaking, stability and more went live last week, and probably won't be the last.
