Has Ubisoft just let slip Watch Dogs 2? If the LinkedIn profile of Ubisoft Paris' Senior Gameplay Programmer Julien Risse is any kind of an indication, then yes. Risse notes that his CV includes work on the first Watch Dogs, as well as DLC expansion Bad Blood and Watch Dogs 2.

It's not the first time that a sequel to Watch Dogs has been touted, with the game's Creative Director Jonathan Morin noting that there's plenty of room for improvement in Watch Dogs 2, back in January. "I don't think Watch Dogs is perfect in any way and there's a lot of room for improvement," he said. "But you don't always see this when you ship a game. We deliver what we believe the brand should be at the time."

Could we hear more about Watch Dogs 2 at E3 this June? It seems that if a sequel is in the pipeline, it could debut at Ubisoft's presser. Watch this space. You can take a look at the CV slip up below, as spotted by Videogamer.

  • i wouldnt mind a second game as i enjoyed the first plenty. i guess time shall tell.
  • My linkedin profile says i am jack black...
  • Say what you will I really enjoyed Watch Dogs. The city, the driving, probably the best shooting in a sandbox game ever. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of near future Chicago. Wasn't all they hyped it up to be but once I got over that I really liked it. Plus that sequence where CREAM plays is one of my fav moments in recent years. Bring on 2
  • Will probably pass on this, the first was one of the most overhyped turds I've played on XB1.
  • Was a bore! They should've carried on with the new Driver...
  • what a surprise
  • Let slip? They said they were working on watch dogs 2 a day after watch dogs 1 released.
  • Thing is, I actually liked the world in Watch Dogs, it was stunning, just everything else sucked, the driving was off for me somehow, and I felt I was running around pressing X through the whole game, no deep mechanic system as such. I didn't feel like a super hacker, I felt like some generic dweeb playing silly hacking mini games, listening to shit music and now and again fired a gun.
  • Sequel needs more actual dogs. I want to play as a red setter that's a master of hacking, with a shih-tzu sidekick.
  • Not interested. Really couldn't get into the first game at all.
  • If I do decide to get another Watch Dogs / Ubisoft game, it won't be until after the reviews have come out. Ubisoft have made it incredibly apparent in recent years that they can't be trusted.
  • Good freaking loved the first one hope it doesn't follow Aiden new characters with a new story maybe meet Aiden or something
  • @4 then you haven't played Destiny... lol... the most overhyped piece of turd of all time.
  • I haven't lol.
  • Hopefully they add some new feature like hacking being more than the press of an x button. I got a bit bored tapping the x button so much
  • Well I'm interested! The original had its problems but if its xbox1 only and not cross gen then I'm excited!
  • If they can improve the side missions and make the protagonist a non dipshit it might be good.
  • WD40
  • Still haven played the first one, waiting for a price drop
  • Maybe they can fix Aiden's back in the sequel. The poor guy looks to be in so much pain, when he walks.
  • @3 I'm sorry, I must have misread your post. Are you saying you enjoyed the driving in Watch Dogs?
  • I played Watch Dogs because before its release it was said to be very good. While I didn't hate it I found it overrated. I hold an open attitude towards Watch Dogs 2. Hope it can bring the franchise the glory it truly deserves.
  • I didn't dislike the game (except for the retarded drinking game chievo). . . But I too feel it was not as good as it could have been.
  • I think is is a fun game with a fun premise. (I am playing post-nerf for what its worth) In ACT III now and I feel that the characters are well developed (especially if you find all of the audio logs) and the story (especially the investigations) are strong. This is a lot like what I expected AC to be like if they ever created a full game as Desmond. The driving does really, really suck, (ie: it is really L-R touchy making steering a nightmare for some vehicles) aside from boats and motorcycles. I'll admit that it isn't an A+ game but it is a 2nd tier game and is worth playing if you like to play games for fun and not to just find things to bitch about. ;)
