Following yesterday's announcement of the previously Wii U exclusive ZombiU for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which will be launching as a digital-only title called Zombi next month, Ubisoft has today officially released the announcement trailer for your viewing pleasure.

Originally released in 2012 for Wii U, Zombi is a first-person survival horror game with some roguelike aspects to it, meaning if you die, you'll return as a different character. You can return to the scene of the previous character's death and regain your lost items, but that deceased character will have been resurrected as a zombie.

Zombi will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 on 18th August. Get the announcement trailer below.

  • ..Zombi[X] then?
  • Zomb1
  • @1 so the ps4 version is Zombi[P]?
  • anybody who played it on WiiU, any good? Also what is the price?
  • gonna buy this one looks fun, if the price is right that is...
  • #4 I really enjoyed it, integrated the WiiU gamepad really well. It'll be interesting to see how then made it work on X1 (SmartGlass?)
  • looks good to me.
  • @6, no smartglass intergration or companion app. The two player concept has been removed completely. Everything is done on the one screen now from the map to your backpack. However the game still runs in these screen and doesn't pause so you have to be quick or you could have a 'zombi' on your back in seconds
  • Looks really good!
  • @8 Is that really true? That sucks, no Smartglass integration or anything similar to the Wii U's Gamepad? This might put me off from buying it now :(
  • #10 I knew right. It's Ubisoft who like ruins some of their games. Waterdown Watch Dogs, AC Unity's broken, The Crew's issues and medicore game, release too much AC games in years, remove Gamepad gameplay away in Zombi's port version from Wii U on XB1, PS4 and PC. etc... so no surprised what Ubisoft had done anyway. :P
  • i have this game on the Wii u it is fun
  • @10 would smartglass really work though? You would have to put down your controller to use it, unlike the Wii U controller where the screen in built into the controller.
  • The real question is where did someone get a fully automatic rifle in London?
  • ^ This guy
  • Wow... that's a different twist on zombie games. You die, you continue as someone else - and have to deal with person you used to be (now a zombie). Too bad it isn't third-person... it would be more interesting to get used to what your character looks like, then have to deal with it being a zombie when you die and come back as someone else (especially if you were playing an attractive female character). @14 What planet do YOU live on? If someone wants to get an automatic weapon bad enough... there's always a way - no matter where you live (except maybe prison)!
  • #14, military?
  • I got bored of it, and I love zombie games. It has some good things to it but needed more. I returned it and then got it on sale for $10. I expect a lot of PS4 and Xbox One buyers would also be similarly disappointed, so I would recommend people don't expect too much but still give it a go, as many still really liked it. I recommend buying from a place that allows returns if you don't like it.
  • @10 & 13, afraid so, apparently this would be too hard to replicate. I understand why to a certain extent but surely they could of brought out a companion app to allow the map and backpack to be used on a separate screen. You could keep your device on your lap for quick access to. Here's a link to the full blog from Ubisoft. http://blog.ubi.com/zombi-announced-ps4-xbox-one-pc/
  • #14 doh do you see the soldiers in the red uniforms in game, they stand outside buckingham palace with loaded guns to protect the queen FACT and i beleave there called the queens guard.
  • @18: will be hard to return the game, if it is sold "digital only" ;-)
  • I think the meme "no u" would have been a better bit than "no more u"
  • what was cool in the WiiU version is that if somebody plays the game and dies, he will spawn as a zombie where he died, with his GT displayed, in your game. You have to be online to get this feature of course. Hope they still have this feature.
  • @16. State of Decay bro.
  • @14 its a zombie video game, who gives a shit. :) as for the game, definitely like the look of it, think ill pick it up at some point.
  • @#20 the queens guard just carry out ceremonial duties, their guns aren't loaded if they are even real, the protection of the queen isn't actually down to them
  • @26 - not true at all. They are real soldiers, with real, loaded weapons. You really don't want to mess with them, seriously.
