MLB 2K9 Skit & Screens

2K Sports today released a mildy amusing skit and a batch of new screens for their upcoming MLB 2K9 title, due out on March 3rd.

The skit features MLB cover athlete Tim Lincecum of the San Francisco Giants who recently grabbed the MLB's Starter of the Year award in 2008 (thank you Google, ha ha). I must say though, that the screens do look very impressive. Check em out.

Check out the MLB 2K9 gallery here for the 6 new screens.

And before anybody else complains, yes, "sarcasm" was spelled that way to make a point ...

Webb, It's called the "Cy Young" Award lol I've never heard it called Starter of the Year before. It could also be relif pitchers so what you said is technically wrong. I don't know anything about soccer in the US or around the world though so i wouldn't expect someone from the UK to care about technicallities.

So, that skit was lame. It was a cheap attempt at copying ESPN's really well done and funny commercials.

@ 13 - I'm a Brit, I know next to nothing about baseball, ha ha. Google got me that far :P

However, as a gamer, I know LOADS about other sports :)

Oh and @hansen - I got that off Wikipedia, ha ha. Don't blame me, blame the Wiki :P

It's a new baseball game, I definately have to get it. But I must agree, The Show is sooo much better, but... I lack a PS3 and such. Oh well, 2k9 will have to do!
