I am downloading this now. This will will be make or brake for the game for me.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 02:25 PM
From the previews it sounded like this could be a pretty sick game. Hope the gameplay can back up the hype.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 02:27 PM
poor game, graphics are lacking big time amongst other things.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 02:35 PM
Screens look amazing so I will download. Escape from Butcher Bay was a pretty good game from what I heard so this should be better I would presume.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 02:50 PM
Just played the demoWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 02:53 PM
Just played it and its awesome...i loved escape from butcher bay and im excited for the mulitiplayer in this game, not to mention it includes escape from buther bay and the new assault on athena campaign. Personally i think the graphics look great although there are some people on here that will disagree, if you dont like it don't buy and keep your personal opinion to yourself. Let the demo speak for itself, i know ill be tasting blood on april 7thWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 03:06 PM
looks crap, plays worse.... from demmo point of viewWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 03:12 PM
BrassBallz- If u thought Butcher bay sucked balls, chances are you will still think this sucks balls, its the same game engine. WIll download the demo 2morro morn in the UK. At night in the UK the marketplace is slow cos its peak US time :(Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 03:20 PM
Downloading this as soon as I get homeWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 03:17 PM
I'll be trying this demo - and hopefully if it's good I'll buy the game. EFBB on Xbox was such a great game for it's time, very under-valued by some 'gamers'.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 03:35 PM
Loved the Demo, it's pretty much the same game as Butcher Bay, just in a different setting. The demo was short, but was pretty fun. I don't know what to think about multiplayer, it looked ok in the video but my hopes aren't high. I cannot wait for this game. @#5 Did you even play the game? It was one of the best games to come out last generation.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 03:22 PM
Well, now I've got many more reasons than the achievements not to buy this game. I'm glad the achievements turned me off before playing the demo or I'd be pretty unhappy.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 03:42 PM
This demo will decide whether or not I rent this game :D Unless it completely blows me away. Downloading right now.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 04:04 PM
i was never sure about this game and after i saw the achiviements list... well i ent even goin to download the demoWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 04:08 PM
Dude your a tool bag if you're not going to play a game because the achievements are hard.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 04:41 PM
Oh Demon, you make ME unhappy... If only you could see that it IS possible for a game to be amazing AND have annoying achvments at the same time. If its really hard for you, you can pretend ur playing the original Xbox, or the Wii, or PS3 (a few months ago), or even most PC games. The first Riddick game is supposed to be one of THE greatest and most overlooked games of the last generation. This is another chance to play it and its sequel. Im not even going to try the demo. Ill be buying it day 1 so that it is a whole new experience. Can't wait.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 05:00 PM
Wow ROA5T BeeF, you apparently can't read. I suggest talking to a tutor and learning, it really is important. I said there's many more reasons than the achievements for not getting this game after playing the demo. All I said abou the achievements were they are a turn off. I've played games before that were really good, but had ridiculous achievements (GTA4) and I'll never talk bad about that game for it. Please, try reading before replying with something that makes no sense based on what was said.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 05:02 PM
excellent, cant wait to play through this game againWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 05:15 PM
downloading it now, cant wait 4 april 7thWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 05:26 PM
Loved the original, just got through the demo aswell and loved that too. I really do feel sorry for anyone that's not going to play this game just for the fact that the achievements are apparently bad. If that's the price you pay to miss out on an awsome game, then it's fairly stupid and your loss.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 05:54 PM
achievements are bad, but the game makes up for it, it's really in-depth and good graphics and it's just plain fun. i just hope it's possible for atari or starbreeze to re-do the achievements. maybe if enough people complained to them, they probably will. So please complain everyone.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 06:00 PM
sweetWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 06:11 PM
Looks like a winner! Balls.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 06:17 PM
plays ok really dont think i'll get this xxWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 06:24 PM
Oh Demon... You used the old "Learn to read" response. I think I can hear a faint round of applause from the audience. "I'm glad the achievements turned me off before playing the demo or I'd be pretty unhappy." My question is: If you had played the demo first, would the achievements still have turned you off? Would you have said, "Wow this game is fun. Screw the achivements, I'm going to play for the fun of it this time!" Or did you play the demo and say, "Wow the achievements suck AND this demo sucks!" I'm not trying to put you down, just wondering dude.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 07:05 PM
Had the demo impressed me, or if it was fun to me, I would say "screw the crappy achievements" and buy the game anyway. As I said, I bought GTA4 even with the ridiculous achievements. I bought Halo 3 even with all those online achievements and BF: Bad Company. Achievements don't dictate my purchases, but they do influence them, slightly.Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 08:21 PM
I loved the original... I can't tell you how many times I beat it... But the demo was pretty bland and unexciting in comparison for me... It needed more guidance as of what is needed to be done... More silent kills set up... But it really seems like it is going to stay true to its roots... So I would recommend at least renting it... Because although the demo was crap... The game itself is/can be much better...Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 09:35 PM
i'm gonna download this right away EFBB was a great gameWednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 10:14 PM
Uggh... Demon, he's implying that you went in to the demo knowing that you hated the achievements and you were thus turned of from the demo... how about you learn, get a tutor, and read. (That's what you said but in correct chronological order... stupid)Wednesday, March 04, 2009 @ 11:19 PM
demo is solid, def gonna pick this one upThursday, March 05, 2009 @ 12:32 AM
do you start an arguement in every comment forum Demon or are all of us just illiterate and cant read? I enjoyed the short demo, looking forward to the game.Thursday, March 05, 2009 @ 01:16 AM
It's a shame people are reacting to this game so negatively because Butcher Bay (along with Psychonauts and Ninja Gaiden) is one of my favorite [original] Xbox games and one of the best movie --> game adaptations I have ever played. The fact that this game has a whole other campaign and multiplayer on top of the original makes this a must have for me, without even having played the demo yet.Thursday, March 05, 2009 @ 02:42 AM
i was really looking forward to this...i'm gutted at how poor the demo is, very short and very uninspriring! a real shameThursday, March 05, 2009 @ 04:14 AM
2 games in 1 you can't go wrongThursday, March 05, 2009 @ 05:29 AM
Loads of people say EFBB was so awesome, but then say "That was an awesome game, but i'm not getting this because of one reason or another" blah blah blah....it's got that awesome butchers bay on it completely redone... Which is reason enough to get this alone for the remake which was a lengthy game! The fact that the achievements are not as good as some gamers might think is irrelevant really. if the game is good who cares about achievements? Just play the games for the games! Achievements are a bonus, but a game isn't / shouldn't be determined / judged by achievements.Thursday, March 05, 2009 @ 10:17 AM
You what's a shame, the fact that people can't express their opinions because fanboys of the series feel the need to flame you for it. Look, the demo, IN MY OPINION, was garbage. No matter what the achievements are I would not play this game. You people need to stop attacking/flaming others just because their opinion differs from yours. Actually ddp: The tutor teaches, so tutor would come first. Why would you need a tutor if you learned it by yourself first?Friday, March 20, 2009 @ 02:21 PM
what do I have to do in the demo. I'm in a room i can't get out, help!
