Wow... I have 0 interest in this now.Friday, February 05, 2016 @ 07:37 PM
#1 I second that motion wholeheartedly.Friday, February 05, 2016 @ 07:37 PM
Meh, don't care about this now. Is DayZ still coming? Not heard about that for ages.Friday, February 05, 2016 @ 07:37 PM
@1 agreed, doesn't sound great tbh.Friday, February 05, 2016 @ 07:51 PM
Did any of you play the normal game? Seems 99% of players played battle royale anyway.Friday, February 05, 2016 @ 08:12 PM
We better get both games if we purchase the King of the Hill version, if not they can screw off.Friday, February 05, 2016 @ 09:25 PM
But its the surivial bit I wanted. No interest now.Friday, February 05, 2016 @ 09:38 PM
Bwaaaaaah! That boy ain't right!Friday, February 05, 2016 @ 10:09 PM
lol as #5 said, the main player base for H1Z1 has been on their 'Battle Royale' game type rather than the traditional mode that is similar to DayZ. It's a pretty mediocre game as it stands and I doubt the split will really hurt the game much. Either way, I had no real interest in the game, it's all about The Division and Dark Souls 3 for me for the next couple of months.Friday, February 05, 2016 @ 11:33 PM
at $20 each probably lol..Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 12:12 AM
Well...guess we have to wait on the State of Decay MMO to get our fix for MMO open world Zombie Survival fun.Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 01:28 AM
I thought the whole game was going to be F2P?Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 01:47 AM
I want a tank of propane and maybe some propane accessories to go with it if I get the King of the Hill version.Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 02:51 AM
Well I was looking forward to this since it was announced with the launch of preview program, but now they can just go to hell. Not getting my money now.Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 03:08 AM
Well I was excited for this game until now...Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 10:37 AM
way to fuck up a game.Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 11:19 AM
Seems like this was a good move.Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 12:30 PM
So they went from making a mediocre F2P zombie game (although they were still charging people for the privilege of being beta testers) to chopping the most popular part off the main game and then selling it to consoles... I'm almost impressed with the amount of milking they're doing.Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 12:48 PM
Hopefully, 7 Days to Die will come to consoles after it gets out of alpha. Best zombie apocalypse crafting survival game out there so far. Battle royale is fun but its no Royale with Cheese.Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 02:02 PM
For the love of god. Now both games have separate development teams each one is going to improve in quality. I'm fucking outraged... arghhhhh!Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 04:27 PM
Whole lotta nope!!Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 05:28 PM
I've seen the battle royale broadcasts on Twitch. I've been really looking forward to playing this game. Since it was only about a year ago when this was considered an impossibility to come to XBox, I will gladly pay $20 for each half of this game. I would rather have had the entire game all at once, but I'm still happy it's coming to XBox in any form, so I'll take what I can get.Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 05:57 PM
Screw all these second rate imitators and give us Left 4 Dead 3.Saturday, February 06, 2016 @ 07:54 PM
@23 pity I can't give more than one thumbs up for thatSaturday, February 06, 2016 @ 11:08 PM

Pro tip, go play the PC version and let this one die a slow death so they'll never do anything like this again.Sunday, February 07, 2016 @ 10:48 PM
Or not? The power of choice! Too much for some to handle. How about expressing what you love, not bashing what you hate? You dont want to end up with a peptic ulcer do you?Monday, February 08, 2016 @ 09:19 AM
Because its an abomination of a game I wouldn't mind playing on console. But I guess we always end up getting the shaft.Tuesday, February 09, 2016 @ 05:12 PM
Already heard my roommates bitching about the micro-transactions on PC, I think I'll skip.

Daybreak Game Company has announced that it's dividing H1Z1, its zombie survival game into two separate titles. One will be titled H1Z1: Just Survive and will preserve the original PC Early Access game's open-world, persistent multiplayer gameplay, base building and crafting, while the other will be named H1Z1: King of the Kill and will include arena-based multiplayer combat in Battle Royale mode, alongside other various gameplay options.
It's this latter product that will be coming to consoles once it leaves early access this summer. H1Z1: King of the Kill is bound for Xbox One and PlayStaton 4, as well as Windows PC, and anyone purchasing the current version of H1Z1 on Steam before 17th February for $19.99 will get both games.
H1Z1: King of the Kill is being developed by a separate, dedicated team at Daybreak with more staff being brought on board, and is being positioned as a wholly different experience to Just Survive. "We have received feedback from our community and they've pointed out that these are really two different games, that they are very much stand-alone concepts that have two different audiences," says Executive Creative Director Jens Anderson.
"There will be two separate development teams supporting H1Z1: Just Survive and H1Z1: King of the Kill, and both of these teams will really be able to tool up and focus on the needs of the players of each of those titles."
Once H1Z1: King of the Kill launches for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, it'll be priced at $19.99 and will also feature optional microtransactions in the form of airdrops for extra supplies or keys to open loot crates around the map.
