Get ready for more difficult decisions and decomposing zombies: Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 3 will launch this year, the developer has revealed.

Speaking to Mashable, Telltale boss man Kevin Bruner said the series will tie in with the previous two seasons in an “unexpected” way, adding that the approach would not be from "the bag of tricks that we've ever shown anybody before."

A proper reveal and more information on The Walking Dead Season 3 will be shared at the 2016 Comic Con International.

  • I want another wolf among us.
  • Can't wait! Still ways off the way I see it though=( I wonder which ending for season 2 they will take as official...
  • SHIT YEAH! More Telltale is always a good thing. And yes, fully agree with #1, I want a new TWAU season as well.
  • Can't wait for season 3! I loved seasons 1 and 2. Very interested to see where they take it after season 2.
  • I thought season 2 was never on the level as season 1. lets hope season 3 gets back on the level of season 1
  • I just hope S3 isn't a bunch of idiot adults asking a 10 year old girl what they should do in life or death situations, and then getting mad at her when something goes wrong, even though it would have been 10x worse if they hadn't done what she said. Seriously, I'll be buying S3 because of Clementine, as she's an amazing characters, but the supporting cast in S2 where all annoying AF.
  • deadly!! cant wait!
  • So Michonne doesn't tie in at all?
  • doubt it #8
  • I'm sure we'll run into Clem at some point but there's a whole world out there, I wouldn't meeting a new cast of characters as long as they're written well.
  • Hell yea!
  • It would be nice to see Clem a little older (I don't know how far they can advance the story, as far as her age)... but if she were at least 13 or 14, with a growth spurt, she could be a lot more formidable (like Buffy the Vampire Slayer or something... "Clem the Zombie Slayer"). With well-liked characters having been maimed or killed (or "zombified"), they better not do anything like that to Clem. Telltale would have a gamer's riot on their hands! Actually, I just had a thought... we already have a zombie comedy on TV with "iZombie." Why not another one, "Clem, the Zombie Slayer?!" There'd have to be a significant zombie outbreak, more than iZombie, but not as widespread as The Walking Dead... but I'd certainly tune-in! Just a thought (super-excited about TWD Season 3, though)!
  • Maybe they could mix this story with that of Rick's Group. Would be awesome.
  • After you play Life is Strange the telltale series seems a bit dull. Just my peference. I played every major telltale game so far and just fell like Life is Strange makes you feel the emotion of the game. Gonna mkss Chloe and Max :,(
  • I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say its a story about Clementine's parents. That would be an unexpected tie in.
  • I think I'll finally pick up the telltale collection for xb1. So I can replay S1 and S2.
  • #18 I'm a little confused as to why it matters when during the outbreak they died?
  • @17 maybe they are not dead and she meets them... ...or maybe she meets zombified Lee, or runs into Michonne and becomes a double act... ...or maybe this time around it allows us to make REAL choices that affect the outcome and the way the story develops, with REAL multiple paths and endings instead of just a false sense of one...
  • #21 nah they dead. Although the messages left on the answering machine were not concrete evidence that they died, the fact they made a zombified guest appearance in the last episode of season 1 is proof they did indeed die.
  • @22 oh yeah I forgot about that lol -spoilers for those who haven't played up until then :p
  • I actually preferred controlling Lee and watching out for Clem, than controlling Clem and watching out for a whole group of adults, a couple of teenagers, and a baby. After u get over the emotional wow factor it's a bit of a shame that the decisions made don't really affect the inevitable outcome of the story that much.
  • @15 It wouldn't make sense to just forget about Clem, considering the multiple possible places she can end up at the end of season 2. How cheated would fans feel if they got the ending where she's walking alone with the baby? There'd be no closure on where she'd end up, lmao. Looking forward to this a lot if Clem and Kenny are a big part of it. (Yes i know Kenny would be dead or on his own, alive for a lot of players) Hopefully the wolf among us s2 releases shortly after. That ending "you're not as bad as everyone says you are" gave me chills the first time.
  • Why don't you try finishing minecraft first and michone... Sick of telltale having too many "episodic" series out so they take around 5 to 6 months between most episodes...
  • People sure love a spoiler on this site!
  • Let the s s stuttering begin!
