On top of all this, there'll also be a big Ammu-Nation Sale, including 20% off Sticky Bombs and Grenades, 25% off Combat Machine Guns and Assault Rifle Mods, and 50% off SMG Ammo.

  • I still play Online pretty often, but am sick of all this crap that no one ever asked for. Give us what we really want, R*. Announce the damn single player DLC you're hiding away from us all.
  • I dunno if you know this Dirty, but when they announced that they'd no longer be supporting the 360 version of the game, they also admitted there won't be any single player DLC. That's one of the reasons I'll occasionally throw in that snarky "This is so much better than single player DLC." joke that goes over several people's heads. They aren't making any single player DLC and they think we should just be happy with the crap they throw in GTAO. And R* sycophants will tell you to stop complaining because it's free. Unless people stop buying those fucking Shark Cards, R* has no incentive to do anything else.
  • Where's the Single Player DLC. And where's he Benz! They need the Benz!
  • @2 great point about the shark cards, after watching people on twitch "donating" (giving away in my mind) money to other gamers for nothing, this is the world we live, money for nothing austerity for free, go figure
  • @#2 - one solution = Revolution
  • I'll be honest, I have bought a couple of shark cards (360 dayz) but I soon realised what was going on. Since I got a one back in November 2015 I refuse to support microtransactions. Its a mugs game and it isn't what the industry needs. That said, it is the way its going. Microtransactions will bring forth the 2nd coming of a crash I tell thee.
  • the continued support of free DLC is always welcome, but cmon Rockstar, wheres the single player DLC or even some new heist missions for online? i'd much rather either one of those over all this random stuff.
  • Um, to you guys still asking for single player DLC: ROCKSTAR HAS ALREADY ADMITTED THERE WILL BE NO SINGLE PLAYER DLC FOR GTAV. It's GTAO or GTFO. If you ever want to see single player stuff from R* you have to get EVERYBODY, AND I MEAN FUCKING EVERYBODY, TO STOP BUYING SHARK CARDS. They are making hundreds of millions per quarter from GTAO and all they have to do is get some cheap codemonkeys to shit out some ugly hairstyles and clothes and give them away for free every once in awhile to keep things 'fresh'. This gives the shills, uh--er, players a reason to keep playing and buying those Shark Cards to afford the expensive vehicles and whatnot. A couple of months ago Take-Two seemed pretty proud of the fact that they could project they'd make even more from GTAO in the next quarter. Need I also remind you that they are currently letting go their *ahem* Rockstar lead game designer? The guy - THEE FUCKIN' GUY - that was an integral part of all those games you like from R*... Is anyone else seeing the mathematics here? Leaked Red Dead 3 map or no, I just don't see what incentive they have to make anything else at this point. Shit, I bet they make a free-to-play version where you don't get the single player campaign at all, just GTAO. You fuckin' watch. :D Anyway, let the thumbs down commence.
  • Jack I don't see how anyone would downvote you. You're absolutely right. Just the other day at my friends house they were LAN'ing GTAO, and I told them that 4 was a vastly superior game because it was the last real GTA. They thought I was nuts but once I explained basically what you said, and how 5 was just handled: -Stating they had no plans to EVER do a next gen release, then drop 360 altogether -They took like...a year for a feature (heists) that should have been there either on release or at least 2 months max after it came out. -They a franchise that ALWAYS had the best criminal/anti hero storylines and dropped their planned story DLC to make money off of micro transactions. I used to love Rockstar. San Andreas still remains one of my favorite games of all time, and RDR was incredible. To tell you the truth, I'm not even excited for the next Red Dead, because I know the online is going to be the same shit, and instead of shark cards I fucking BET it'll be "bags of gold" or something retarded. They just completely lost their way is what I'm trying to say.
  • Since I won't be the first one here today hating on R* I'm gonna go all out. Let me start from the beginning. We were in fact given the heads up that GTAO would have a 2 week delay after launch. What we got after the wait though, was a broken, buggy mess from the makers of one of the biggest brands in modern gaming. Once the online was up and running, it was soon "adjusted" by R* themselves who nerfed the RP payouts of players who played any of the co-op missions more than once. As if no one had more than 3 friends to play this game with. I personally did everything that online had to offer at the time - WAY before reaching the level 100 achievement. There were no dedicated playlists for people that wanted to just race or just play TDM. A few matches in, then you're outvoted and forced into a skydiving mission. Not many people enjoyed Max Payne 3's MP to it's fullest. It was brilliant, addicting, and the Crew support really shined. The Crew I was in was 10th in the world for our division at one point. I figured GTAO would mirror that model. Nope. The studio that did Max Payne 3 was shuttered and it's employees jobless. GTAO's adversarial modes didn't come close, and the visibilty of bringing Crews over from the last game was so low it was pointless. Many people were holding off on the purchase because of the upcoming release of next-gen hardware. R* says, "We are NOT releasing this game for next-gen systems." LIE! How many times were heists promised within a certain timeframe? A feature that was a selling point at launch? They took over a year! A fucking year! Finally, single player DLC was promised for this game. I know it's not coming, but they fucking said it was. For a beautiful game with good charaters they cheated us good. GTA 4 had 50% more story missions. 50%!!! And none of them were "drop off this car to the getaway point" and that counts as a mission. The Lost and Damned for GTA 4 was hit or miss, but Gay Tony was a blast. Both were great reasons to go back to Liberty City. What about Los Santos you say? Well.....enjoy your shark cards I guess.
  • #9 You beat me to some of my points while I was typing. I'm glad other people remember their false promises too. Most still get defensive about R*, but one release has brought them down a dark path. I won't kid myself by saying I'd never get the next Red Dead, but I'll make sure to buy it used just out of spite, lol.
  • #2, its free and we are sycophants? Jeez if they made you pay for it i'd hate to see the look on your face. #9, they stopped supporting the 360 version because it couldn't cope with any additional stuff anymore, the base game itself already pushed the console to its limits. I'm sick of people who overlook that without researching it. And sure they have microtransactions, but at least they don't have in-game stuff that you can only get with real money unlike some other developers. Shark Cards are just a quick way to get money. As for story DLC, no it's not happening, bit I couldn't care less at this point. Me and my friends still play it frequently and have fun doing so because there's always something to do. And #10, for the billionth time heists were NEVER PROMISED. All they said was they were coming, and once they did you still throw a tantrum about it?
  • @#9 - Thanks for the support. And that whole thing about announcing no next-gen but doing it anyway? That's actually only one of two games Take-Two have done this with. In addition to R*, they also own 2K who publishes Gearbox's games. They pulled the same stunt with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. So it was a deliberate business decision to deceive consumers. And I've been saying for awhile now that one of the things holding up a Red Dead sequel is that they haven't been able to come up with an equivalent system to GTAO's Shark Cards. Sure they could sell you bags of gold, but then what? Buy a better ranch? How many better horses could there be? Do you buy cattle and ranch them? Everyone sure loved cattle herding if I recall. And even casino gambling isn't a sure-fire method as some people don't care to play Poker and Liar's Dice. Now that they don't have Christian Cantamessa or Leslie Benzies I'm not sure I want them to make another Red Dead... @#12 - Oh, boy... I said that sycophants will tell you not to complain about the free DLC. If you're one of the people saying that, then you fall into the category of Rockstar sycophant. I can complain about whatever I want, and I think I've explained my reasoning pretty well. You really think the 360 can't handle the spate of free hairstyles, clothes, weapons, vehicles, and random new MP modes? Surely you're not buying that shit? C'mon, man, you gotta be smarter than that. They dumped the 360 so they didn't have to pay employees twice to make the same free crap. You obviously ignored post #8 if you don't see the harm in microtransactions. Just because you don't care about single player DLC doesn't mean no one else does. They showed the heists in a pre-release advertisement, saying you could play them with your friends. Putting something like that in an ad is a tacit promise of said thing being in the product. Just because they didn't put into a public announcement the sentence "We, Rockstar Games, PROMISE you that GTAV will have heists." doesn't mean they didn't they didn't make a promise with that ad. Anything else?
  • Wow, they are going crazy with the adversary modes. Not that many people even play most of them, at least in my experience.
  • @8 Sounds like R* is going the way of VALVe. Yay..
  • #12, so much salt I'm surprised you haven't drowned in it yet. A lot of these updates had much more than just clothing and hairstyles. Freemode challenges, Lowriders and Yachts just were not possible on old hardware anymore. And the whole 'the base game pushed the 360 to its limits'? They're not my words nor the words of Rockstar but words of people and players who know the ins and outs of this game. I would like to see story DLC as much as the next person but Take Two said it's not gonna happen which sucks but, then again, its nowhere near the biggest disappintment to befoul video gaming.
  • How about instead of constantly adding new game modes how about fixing matchmaking so we can actually play them ffs.
  • I'm hoping they might release another Online update that gives new vehicles or weapons.
  • @#16 - You're the one gonna be drowned in salt if you keep sucking R*'s dick that hard.
