Destiny is due to go offline 6am through 9am PT today, to fix a series of issues players are having with connection to the game's multiplayer modes.
If you're in the UK, that's 2pm to 5pm (so it should be fine by the time you get home from work).
It's the same connection error that messed up last week's deployment of the Iron Banner - an ongoing problem Bungie is going to want fixed before the next DLC (Rise Of Iron) drops in September.
Don't expect Banner to be extended to account for this downtime, either - it's fixed into a weekly cycle and will go offline on the Tuesday reset as usual.
