Here's 7 Things We Want to See in Red Dead Redemption 2 - Video

With Red Dead Redemption 2's debut trailer dropping yesterday, giving us a tantalising hot minute of what we assume to be in-game footage, it got us thinking. What are the things we'd really like to see in the game when it drops next year? How could Rockstar improve upon what's gone before and bring its Wild West sandbox to startling life?

Red Dead Redemption was already an incredibly accomplished rendition of Wild West America, complete with sweeping plains, a lively ecosystem of animals, horses, trains, bandits, saloons, bar fights, poker, liquor and dustbowl frontier towns. To date it remains one of Rockstar's most rich and evocative open worlds.

But, there's always room for improvement! So we got our heads together and mulled over what additions could make Red Dead Redemption 2 the ultimate sequel. We already know it's going to look gorgeous and atmospheric. We know that Rockstar has some ambitious online plans up its sleeve, but beyond that, a lot of questions still hang in the air, unanswered.

Here, therefore, are seven things (seven cowboys, The Magnificent Seven etc.) that we want to see in Red Dead Redemption 2, or else we riot. Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in autumn 2017.

  • I want Blondie, Tuco, Angel Eyes, Harmonica, Cheyenne and Frank to appear and have a six-man-duel. While Ecstasy of Gold play on the background. Make it happen Rockstar.
  • I'd be up for mixed customisation, but the horses handled perfectly if Redemption. If there's one thing they put a lot of effort into, it's the mechanics of their games. The one one thing I hope they ditch though is the tap-tap-tap sprint feature. Always hate that in the Rockstar Games. The sticks should control speed from walk to job, then hold a button to sprint. Would be nice if they added more challenges too. Just to add more to the huge maps they make.
  • The online servers for Red Dead Redemption are no longer 'infected' as of yesterday. R* cleaned them up again. Just thought I'd mention it here :)
  • Going back to challenges... In GTAV we all know they focused a lot on online DLC. This isn't a bd thing in anyway, but it did lose single player replayability. As well as them doing online DLC, I think they could also add loads of DLC challenges just to keep the single player action going well after completion.
  • Not sure where else to put this, but any chance you stop with the bullshit full screen splash ads that you can't close on a mobile phone? Or should I just assume I should get my news from someplace else?
  • #8. A story ending that DOESN'T suck.
  • @6 Personally I thought the end of Red Dead Redemption was amazing. Dues had to be paid, and the vengeance was served :D What was it you didn't like about it?
  • @#6 - The story ended pretty much the only way it could've without being cheap. Now if you're talking about Jack, yeah he sucks...
  • Ok nobody got my comment. Guess #only1960kidswillknow. Those are the protagonists of "The good, the bad and the ugly" and "Once upon a time in the west", two spaghetti western masterpieces by Sergio Leone. If one is into the genre, its worth a watch. But eh, who cares.
  • Please dont make a character that just says the samething over and over again.
  • You invested all of your time on the main character and then he dies and you continue as the son? End of game for me. Ending sucked.
  • #1 - "Blondie, Tuco, Angel Eyes" Hell yeah!
  • @Nitnoid It made sense from a character standpoint. I would have been ok if it kept our completion progress but rewinded time back to before the mission after the story was done with so we'd still be John later
  • Any chance we can get these top _ lists written up too? I'm not a big fan of watching countdown videos, but rather reading the lists.
  • Please let us be able to swim rockstar. Kind of a step back from GTA 4 back when RDR First came out and we weren't able to swim across the main river to cross the border.
  • Just here to be the 50 millionth person wondering if the release window means there will be a full 4K version of this for Scorpio.
