Hot damn, glad to be able to play Oblivion again. I agree, I wish it had a remaster (Morrowind too) but I'll settle for this.Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 07:05 PM
Fuck yes. Oblivion was my jam back in 2008Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 07:05 PM
Oblivion? ah...perfect timing. at least this time, after putting over 200 hours into it and while waiting for my dragon armour to be crafted, I won't have to deal with my 360 going RROD on me. and hopefully, I did not just jinx myself or my XBone in some way...Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 07:20 PM
Glad I bought oblivion for 3.74$Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 07:36 PM
Didn't they close down Medal of Honor Airborne servers?Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 07:54 PM
Lol, I never made it out of the imperial sewers. Picked up a few juicy rats though. Can anyone recommend a streamlined way to smash through the game? Strongest weapons, class and abilities etc...Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 07:58 PM
Nice, more shit games. Just give us Singularity that's all we need.Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 08:16 PM
Nice! Gonna play some Oblivion today!Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 08:45 PM
@8 Actually, it doesn't really matter what class/abilities you have if you just want to go for the achievements. The trick to make Oblivion easy was to get the difficulty to the easiest setting and DO NOT level up your character. Every time you level up, the monster's difficulty scales with you, so there is no point. I got all of the GS in that game while still being a level 1 character when it was all over and I honestly still had a blast with all of the fights/lore/exploring.Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 09:03 PM
@7 No, and you can check EA's web site for games that HAVE been taken offline (it's at the very bottom of the page on their site). This is great news, as I picked-up "Medal of Honor: Airborne" recently to work on the MP achievements. I rented the game YEARS AGO and played the campaign 100% (it was a challenge, but a blast)... but now I'd like to 100% the while game. I'm excited about Oblivion being made BC (for everyone who doesn't have a 360 console), but at the same time... I am still hoping for a remaster on Xbox One. Not that it needs it, but with improved graphics, all DLC included and a new set of achievements for Xbox One... I'd pay 50 to 60 bucks for it (okay... I'd probably wait for it to go on sale first, actually) and play it again. I took my time with Oblivion, playing it over a span of about 5 years, playing other games in between adventures... completing it just before "Skyrim" came out. I remember some random idiot sent me a message (no idea where he found my GT - I never played a game with him... must have been near his name on some other game's leaderboard) that he got all the (original) achievements a week after the game first came out. Well... I sent him a scathing message (no cursing, of course) for wasting 60 bucks on a game that SHOULD have given him weeks of enjoyment, instead of just blasting through all the achievements. I hate speed-runs, and it doesn't impress me - EVER! As for "Astropop..." I wish SOMEONE made a paddle controller for games like that, as it would be a LOT easier to play. Still... awesome these games are now BC (I've never played "Trine 2" so I have no opinion about it)!Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 09:07 PM
Happy to hear about Oblivion...not I just need Skyrim to go BC (highly unlikely I know). I was in the process of working through the DLC and side quests when my 360 stopped recognizing disks. So unless it goes BC I won't be able to finish the achievements. Ugh.Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 09:08 PM
@12 cool storyTuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 09:22 PM
It's being reported that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Japan) (Game Of The Year Edition) (the Japanese version that stacks), isn't Backward Compatible as of now.Tuesday, November 29, 2016 @ 10:12 PM
I wonder if I will be able to get the Xbox 360 exclusive DLC, if anybody knows then great.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 01:10 AM
@15 More info?Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 01:24 AM
@12 Thanks, but... no thumbs-up? Seems stupid for me to thumb-up my own comment. @16 Was that "Horse Armor" and "Spell Tomes" that was 360 exclusive... because if it is, then yes (it's in my list for "Ready to install." I need to finish "Skyrim" (the DLC) on the 360 before I play Oblivion again. Then again, I have three 360 consoles, so I'll probably just play it on there! @15 You'll need a Japanese Xbox 360 to play Japanese versions of games. If they make their region's version BC, then you'll have to get their copy to play on your Xbox One.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 01:25 AM
Oops... that last comment was actually for #17.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 01:40 AM
I bought Oblivion for $5 last week for black friday, disappointing it was only false rumored to be confirmed for backwards comp. Now I feel like I should have bought Modern Warfare 3.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 01:41 AM
Really wanted a remaster, but I will take what I can get. Time to start all over with this amazing game anyway.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 01:53 AM
Sweet, good news. Still need to 100% shivering islesWednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 02:01 AM
@18, Yeah cheers, I did also do some research and found you can download all previous DLC so happy days.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 04:25 AM
Well, for the moment it seems that disc two from the GOTY edition does not work. So, no Shivering Isles or Knights of the Nine ATM.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 06:57 AM
11- How could you get all the achievements without leveling up once? Especially considering that everything you do, even jumping or sneaking, helps you level? Yeah, I don't buy it, though your point about enemies scaling up is true. 8- If you're looking for pure ease, level up your stealth. Makes every dungeon a walk in the park, although you maybe won't move through as fast.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 08:18 AM
@25 you only lvl up when you go to sleep. If you don't sleep you don't lvl up.. it's that easyWednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 08:19 AM
@25 I thought in oblivion only your main abilities level you, jumping would only level you if you made that your main abilityWednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 11:50 AM
@9 shitposter is shitposter. Nice try though.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 12:36 PM
I love all the down votes for saying Oblivion is a shit game. Obviously there are a lot of gamers with bad taste. My guess its all the european people.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 01:22 PM
@25 It is totally possible as @26 and @27 has already pointed out. You only level when you sleep, but you can still sleep and remain level 1 as well. At the beginning of the game, you pick your "main" abilities that are used to actually gain level. I simply chose skills that I knew I would never used or use very very little. For instance, I love the hack n slash in this game and rarely used combat magic, so I would choose that as a main ability. Then, since I never used that skill, I never leveled and the enemies remained easy throughout the play. Also, not sure why someone downvoted me on my comment (I can also assume it was @12 since he seems to scoff at the idea of someone not taking 5 years to enjoy this game), but I absolutely enjoyed my Oblivion experience, felt I got my money's worth, and got all of the achievements at the same time. Plus, how dare I comment on an achievement site an easy way to get all the achievements, ESPECIALLY in response to another post ASKING how to get all the achievements easily... Shame on me indeed...Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 01:27 PM
I may have already completed Oblivion and Shivering Isles. But I wouldn't mind heading back to Cyrodiil. Shame that it didn't get a remaster along with or in favour of Skyrim. One of my top games from the 360.Wednesday, November 30, 2016 @ 03:20 PM
@13 - Never gonna happen now the new machines have their own version. Original Xbox Hitman: Blood Money actually lost backwards compatibility when it came out on the 360.Thursday, December 01, 2016 @ 12:33 AM
the collectors edition will not install, it says check list of bc games with error code, is this disc version somehow different

Another handful of Xbox 360 titles have been added to Xbox One's growing library of backward compatible games today, with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion perhaps the most notable addition, giving you the chance to return to Cyrodiil for some daedra bashing fun while jumping around constantly.
Oblivion isn't the only new game to be inducted into the hallowed halls of the backward compatibility list, however, as Medal of Honor: Airborne, Astropop and Trine 2 are also now available to play on your Xbox One. Check out the list complete with Xbox Store links below.
There are now almost 300 backwards compatible Xbox 360 games currently playable on Xbox One, and you can peruse the complete list of all those titles right here.
