All of Resident Evil VII's DLC is now available on Xbox One and PC - after a stint of being exclusive to the PS4.

The two expansions (Banned Footage: Vol. 1 & 2) introduce various new scenarios and even a difficulty mode for the game.

Banned Footage, Vol. 1 introduces two new scenarios, Bedroom & Nightmare - and the Ethan Must Die difficulty mode.

Banned Footage, Vol. 2 introduces 21 Scenario, the Daughters Scenario and a new game mode called Jack's 55th Birthday.

In Jack's 55th Birthday, you're tasked with serving up special celebratory treats for the big day, in a frantic race against the clock, while in the other scenarios - you'll be able to experience more insight into Resident Evil 7's dark storyline.

Daughters offers a "deeper look at the Baker family's life" prior to the events of the main game, while 21 sees you facing off in a deadly game with Lucas Baker, gambling your own life in the process.

We've updated our gallery with screens from the DLC and you can find all those here

Both DLC packs are available on the Xbox Store now available with the Deluxe Edition or Season Pass, or as a standalone download: Vol. 1 will set you back $9.99/£7.99/€9.99 and Vol. 2 will cost $14.99/£11.99/€14.99.

  • If only the game would work on PC. It stopped working a week ago and an update later only let's it get to the second screen after the Capcom logo instead of crashing immediately
  • Sadly I traded this in already. While I enjoyed the gameplay and certainly love the direction Capcom is taking series, it doesn't really have a "survivor horror" type feel if you get a limb cut off and you simply put it back on. The healing system just kind of ruined it for me. I've been stabbed and bitten, better pour some water on my hands? I'm hoping they make some necessary changes in the future.
  • @2 I thought that the healing thing was alluding to that *possible spoilers* Ethan was affected/infected in the same way Mia and the Bakers were, tho the game doesn't mention it, just Ethan seems to get over some serious injuries with zero trouble. When's the 'Not a hero' DLC coming then? More interested in that one.
  • Is this the only paid dlc? Anymore releasing? Don't seem right to get the season pass if this is all we are getting.
  • @4 There's meant to be more. The title to this and the first sentence are VERY misleading.
  • I do hope the future dlc is actual expansions to the main game, and not side stories. The game is great, and it has good replay value, but it was still a tad short I thought.
  • @2 the limb reattachment is because Ethan is infected, the healing animation is virtually the same as any other video game (like how in some games you can be shot in the gut so you bandage your hand?) @4 I'm pretty sure I heard there should be a vol. 3 sometime in the future, be nice if they do a vol. 4 as well. Then of course there's the free dlc.
  • @6 there will be 2 story add one One in the pass, and "Not a Hero* which is free in Summer
  • @7 Yeah I realize Ethan is infected, again another issue I had with the game. When you played as any of the veterans of the game like the Redfields, or Jill or Leon, you were never infected or anything like that. And I'm not sure what games you're referring to but the healing animation is new to me and I didn't care for it.
  • @9, I just want to point out that Jill was very much infected by Nemesis in 3. That is what allowed Wesker to use the device on her in 5 and it not kill her. Claire was given the T-Veronica virus in Code Veronica, where Chris had to find the antidote. Leon was injected was a Ganados parasite in 4, and had to find his own cure. Plenty of characters have been infected in the past, and Jill got super human strength and agility in RE5 from it. As for other games using a simple animation, the biggest one that comes to mind is Far Cry, where getting shot in the chest is fixed by bandaging your arm. Left 4 Dead has someone pat you down with a rag, and in Battlefield defibrillators can heal being blown up by a tank.
  • Lol...wtf did I get down-voted for saying the pc port kept crashing?
  • @11: Perhaps other people have not had that issue and found your comment "incorrect" from their standing? I don't know too many people that play on PC, but I haven't seen any news or anything about it being troublesome.
  • maybe its your pc itself thats the issue?
  • maybe its your pc itself thats the issue?
  • You guys keep saying the healing med restores Ethan's limbs because he is infected... You guys ever notice that the description of the First aid med says "Closes up wounds and promotes cell regeneration. Partially restores health." You'll notice that in the start when he gets stabbed in the hand it puts a hole in it and the Med heals the hole. If you don't heal the hole will stay with Ethan. The medicine is just that strong.
  • @15 It makes sense in the context of the Resident Evil universe. If there is all these bad, evil sciences, like viruses and bio-weapons, then there must be really good science and medicine as well, far beyond what we have in the real world.
  • The title + article is wrong. These are just the first two DLCs. There are more to come (at least one paid additional story chapter and a free additional story chapter). Furthermore the DLC is only available on Xbox One, PS4 and Steam. Win10 DLC is delayed.
  • Nice. The '21' minigame in particular looks like a lot of fun. Hoping to have the main game finished this weekend so I might pick up the Season Pass come pay day :)
