More bullshit please?

Why call it 'Rock Band' when there is no rock in it?

Almost as bad as GH:WT packs.

Long live GH 1/2/3!

@3 why call it "rock band" if its metal why call it "rock band" if its pop bit of a dumb thing to say really... Suppose its good for people who don't have live and you can probably get the disc cheaper then buying the tracks off marketplace so if its your thing why not?

So What If Its A Country Pack
Harmonix & EA Need To Cater For Everyone's Tastes
Even If It Means Releasing Shit DLC Every Now & Again

I Personally Would Like More Decent Metal
Like Another Earache Or Roadrunner Track Pack

Dont See It Happening Soon Though :-/

Not too fond of many Country songs or Rap for that matter. But, some Shania Twain would be good, some of her stuff is just too funny. Friends in Low Places, good times.

I love the haters. Music is so personal, I think we sometimes forget that the stuff we love is crap to someone else and vice versa. "I thought it was called Rock Band not...." maybe its hard to wrap your head around the concept because you have a small mind?

I am actually excited about this, I am a country fan along with the regular rock, metal, alt etc. so this is enticing.

GARTH BROOKS would be legendary, I still would pay $300 for a rock band with all Garth Brooks songs.

I like country, but this pack is just awful. They need to release a Brad Paisley/Keith Urban pack, and some southern rock/country like the old Hank Jr and Charlie Daniels. Someone who knows this kind of music really needs to sit down with these Harmonix dudes.

kevx, these are intended for people who can't download songs.

"waah it's called Rock Band" what's wrong with that? It's competition is a full band game called GUITAR hero for christ's sake

People are complaining about a few pack of country while asking for more metal...we have almost 100 metal tracks already! I'm sure you'll survive just over 20 country tracks. I mean seriously, how dare harmonix try to appeal to a wider audience?

@45: That can be arranged.

A couple of those songs I heard in the past and do own those albums the songs appear on:

Dixie Chicks - Sin Wagon - Fly album
Shania Twain - Any Man of Mine - The Woman In Me album

Coming soon to Rock Band:
Lee Jackson - Grabbag (Original & Megadeth version)

Why are you complaining?

This is for people who either want all the songs, because it's cheaper that way or they have no life and can't download anything. You can transer them to your harddrive and then play on RB/RB2.

It's nothing like the GH marceting and really good. I know a few people who bought the first 2 packs, because they can't connect to live.

Oh man, I thought it was bad when they were releasing country instead of rock in the first place, but "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy"? Anything at all by Shania Twain, Dixie Chicks, or Martina McBride? What a slap in the face. Everyone talks about how Activision has sold out and is milking Guitar Hero and what not, but Harmonix is just as bad, if not worse. Rather than respectable names like Johnny Cash (still not a fan but at least you can tell that he was cream of the crop of that genre), we get a horrible wail-fest. I bet one of the as of yet unnamed songs is that awful "Jesus Take The Wheel (or should I say whEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEl)" song.

Blah. I have to go drown out that mess in my head with some awesome rock now. You remember, that genre that's not actually in Rock Band desp

How many times is the "It's called ROCK BAND, not COUNTRY BAND" excuse gonna be used before you guys release they are gonna release what they want? And country isn't a genre of music for a bunch of hicks down south, it's pretty popular all over the country, so leave your stereotypes at the door. Besides, they release plenty of the the regular old rock flavored variety, just look at the variety of rock genres released in the past month. I swear, they could release full albums of Led Zep, The Who, Metallica, and Disturbed all within the same week and people would still find a frickin problem with it. Get broader tastes or stop complaining.

@5 and 76, you are completely right. @78 and countless others, if you don't want it, don't buy it. Your comments make this x360a community seem like a bunch of ignorant idiots. The good thing about all these diverse genres of music they offer is that everybody can find something they like. Why should country lovers be left out? This pack is great for that. And for the record, Sin Wagon is just as tough to play as a lot of the other metal songs in Rock Band.

The point of this isn't to appeal to the people who are already hooked on the game. It's to draw MORE people to the game. ..the older generation, parents, and those who are country fanatics. It's all about having a mix of different choices and possibilities. It's a music game, and music comes in many different shapes and sounds. Let people have fun and just don't play it if you don't want to.

I'd rather listen to silverware in a garbage disposal than that crap they try and pass off as "country" nowadays. All these Toby Keiths and Keith Urbans just bring utter and total shame to the genre.

I echo all the previous sentiments: where the hell is the REAL country like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams SENIOR, Loretta Lynn, etc etc etc?!?!

Honestly, I would consider picking this up, just to get more variety in Rock Band 2. But, I am not willing to pay $30. I'll just wait for it to drop to $10 just like the AC/DC Live Track Pack. The only track pack worth $30 is probably the Classic Track Pack coming out next week. That's my opinion.

If there's Johnny Cash, I'll hope it comes as DLC, same with Willie Nelson, or Hank Williams. Otherwise, pass.

for all the people sticking up for us country people and the stuff we like, thanks. But, we're used to the world hating us, retc just because we're different. BTW- Some of us don't get the whole undecipherable to our ears thrash like you don't get country. But, it really is good stuff if yuo put down your hate. It was the first EMO. Just listen to Hank Sr.

It's not just the southland. Country music is popular across the entire U.S. It is the most popular overall genre of music, and radio (behind take that for what it's worth.

Personally...I loathe country music, rock/metal fan all the way, so I won't be getting this. But I do get tired of southern people getting the "dumb redneck 'yuk yuk yuk' beer n' trucks n' horses y'all" stereotype

Country was the first EMO? Wow. That's an interesting perspective.

This seems pretty cool. Not all country is bad, and the tracks we have gotten in-game were pretty nice on guitar. Plus, I'm a sucker for hammer-on chords, and country songs are chock-full of them.

Also, whiners stop whining. You don't HAVE to buy this unless you're that much of a gamerscore whore. It's not like Harmonix reps are going to come to your house and force you to play every song continuously until you become a zombie and buy every country song known to man. This is the beauty of OPTIONAL DLC.

Ah, who am I kidding. No one will stop whining when there's something to whine about.

(Above comment not directed at people who don't like country, just at those who have to whine over every little thing because they didn't have their baby bottle this morning)

I'd buy this, but I

Why are they spending time to make DLC that only 1/3 of the owners of the game will buy, when everyone would buy something like Gorillaz (kick ass) or something more heavy metal. It's becoming less and less aimed at teens, and more at adult gamers nowadays, because most of the songs are of country or similar genre. I am not whining, you guys just don't like having your ides of what makes good music spoilt.

I've been saying the whole emo thing for a long time. i think if more people would give country a shot they'd actually get into it. You can really relate to a lot of it, if you're open enough. I blessed enough to grow up in a home where my dad was playing Conway Twitty on his radio in the bathroom while my mom was playing CCR and The Monkees in the living room. So, yeah I got a pretty good taste. A lot of country nowadays is really NU Southern rock if you think about it. Maybe they should also release some Big and Rich or Coyoy Troy since they kinda blur the line with hick hop or Country rap or whatever tag they wanna assign. I really like the genre blurring music. It's a good infusion. After all music is supposed to be the universal language.
