Disney Infinity Playset Developer Studio Gobo Announces Partnership With Microsoft

Studio Gobo, the developer behind some of the Disney Infinity Playsets (Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars: Rise Against the Empire, and Disney's Moana), has announced a partnership with Microsoft. They did not provide any specific details, though job listings on their website mention work for a "3rd person AAA character action console game" and an "exciting free-to-play product based on a globally-recognised IP for a major publisher."

Sounds like Microsoft could be getting into the toys-to-life genre in a big way. Hopefully they are able to infuse some new ideas to it, considering production on Disney Infinity and Lego Dimensions have both been cancelled. We'll bring any new information as it is available, though this sounds like an E3 presentation in the making.

  • It's funny that everyone knows Dimensions is cancelled except the fanboys that won't face the facts in without the OFFICIAL announcement. The writing is so on the wall. It's done. Unless Microsoft wants Studio Gobo to die twice, they'll stay far away from Toys To Life.
  • To me this doesn't sound like ms getting into toys to life this sounds like studio gobo getting away from that genre and working on other stuff with microsofts help
