In a recent statement, Activision stated that their upcoming shooter, Wolfenstein, would suffer a two week delay so that the company can achieve a simultaneous global release.
Instead of the originally announed August 4th release date, gamers should expect the title now in the week commencing August 17th. The publisher stated, "in order to facilitate a simultaneous global release window for id Software's Wolfenstein, Activision has realigned the game's release date for the week beginning August 17th,"
Whilst August 18/21st - whatever date they choose - may not be far enough down the line for Modern Warfare 2 to affect its sales, but pushing it closer to Batman: Arkham Asylum may give the shooter more competition than expected.
