Ever wanted to see what the big fuss about the Wild Wild West was all about? Ever wanted to get snowed under by Western cliche after cliche? Well today you can. Ubisoft, in what can only be a last ditch attempt to drive sales, today released a demo for their recent Western shooter, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood.

The title which Major Nelson notes is "[ESRB: EC (Early Childhood)]" (yeah right!) is available for all regions and will chew up 687.1 MBs of space.

Still not convinced after that? Read our Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood review then.

Add the Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood demo to your download queue here.

Why are they releasing a demo a month after the game released? :S

All games really ought to have a demo so people that are in 2 minds on whether or not to buy the game can give it a go first and then decide. I've personally been wondering about this, but haven't wanted to buy it yet. Demo might change that.

@#1 - Actually, I don't think they are. Both copies (PS3 and 360) were in the top 10 sales chart for the UK last week. I just think they're trying to reach an audience with the "try this, I'm actually quite good" sort of an approach. So people need a nudge in the right direction, and a well delivered demo can do that.

I really enjoyed this game. I hope the sales aren't bad for it. It deserves the money. A much better game than the first. :)

why does the release of a demo mean sales are bad? why can't a demo try to reach people who have not tried the game yet? if a demo comes out before a game does that mean they think it will sell bad? pfft no

Glad they finally brought out a demo. I just wish they wouldn't leave it so late before doing so.

Why is this a growing trend? Several games now release demos after the game is out. Why not before it's released to build excitement and improve initial sales. One of many successful games who've done this: Battlefield Bad Company!

Already played the demo. Not bad, but I think it is only worth a rent. Plus I got Halo 3 ODST in a month so there is no point in me buying a new game. Still I might rent it.

Having tried the demo now I can only say that it feels like a good old time playing this. Running around guns blazing with a pair of six shooters was fun, though the rifle was far more satisfying!

I think every game requires a demo a month before release. Arguably it will increase sales and allows people to see if it sucks asshole.

Going to check this one out tonight, I will.

I thought this game was pretty good, fun multiplayer modes (if you happen to find anyone to play it with) and a cool story mode. That being said, unless there's a lot more support, probably only worth renting.

This has gone the wrong way for me, my friend who bought it said ti was great, but the demo makes me feel like it's nothing more than a average shooter, not one I'd spend full price on.

I hate how some games out there do this. They release demos AFTER the game has been out for a while. Release demos before, not after

The first game sucked, this demo showed promise though. The dialogue is dumb, but the gun fighting and quick draw event were great. It sucks that you run like a snail, and the horse mounting and riding looks horrific. I'll probably get this if it goes on sale, not brand new. I'm waiting for Red Dead Redemption; it's going to blow this away.
