Capsized
Capsized Coming to the XBLA in 2010

Alientrap Software today announced that their physics based platformer, Capsized, will be coming to the Xbox Live Arcade and Steam in 2010.

Alientrap Software, who developed popular PC freeware, FPS Nexuiz, are looking to deliver fast paced action with physics based puzzles as players attempt to exit a strange alien planet.

The trailer and the screens below show some frenetic action with a really stylised art style. Our only concern at the moment is the game's control mechanic as it's obviously going to be a hell of a lot easier with a mouse. Time will tell there though I suppose, instead, enjoy the game's media.

Check out the Capsized screenshot gallery here.

Interesting enough, looks similar to Shadow Complex. Controls shouldn't be that much different aside from the environmental stuff.

Looks really good.

But I don't think that it'll work too well without a mouse going by the video.

should work ok with LS controlling the character, and RS controlling the cursor, looks interesting, just hope its not an excessive price like the rest of XBLA

Seems like the type of game I could play for free if I googled. Also seems like you would need a mice to have a good go.

seriously tho- I dont think itll be long b4 microsoft puts out a 360 mouse and keyboard- It sure would be alot easier than using the controller for twitter and facebook- lame.

Does noone else think the music sounds strangely like that of Halo? Albeit tweaked to not sound identical.

I know a lot of platformers will always be compared to Super Metroid, but those environments from the Capsized trailer/screens look a LOT like the Brinstar environments from SM.

Looks interesting. Screenshots make it look really good, but video makes me think it's just a dual stick shooter put in a platforming world. No depth, just lots of shooting and avoiding.

Ah well, we will see... ;)

Jetpack? Bionic Commando-esque grappling? 2D puzzle-platformer in space? Metroid-like exploration? Gorgeous art? Jesus. This game's overflowing. I don't need to see anything else. Downloading the minute it's up.
