LT Legend Card=WinWednesday, November 04, 2009 @ 01:25 PM
I didn't like the fifa version because you could only play around 2 matches before rotating your entire now tired team, hope this is different.Wednesday, November 04, 2009 @ 01:38 PM
FIFA 09 UT was brilliant, kept me going on 09 for an extra few months, granted it cost MS Points, but what doesn't these days? I'm sure an add-on for FIFA 10 will follow considering they're adding it to Madden. EA with yet more post-release support, kudos EA . . . (never thought i'd utter those final 2 words!)Wednesday, November 04, 2009 @ 02:24 PM
OMG NO WAY!!! I've been waiting for this for years!!! ahhhhh!!!!!!!!! Lol, Just kidding I could care less.Wednesday, November 04, 2009 @ 02:32 PM
So is there still a mode where you play normally, without the cards? And are these likely to be easy or tough achievements? (if there are some)Wednesday, November 04, 2009 @ 02:45 PM
@9 You couldn't care less.Wednesday, November 04, 2009 @ 03:13 PM

This is the next step in EA Sports. Makes sense. It has to be a tough job to change achievements every year with basically the same game.

Those familiar with the DLC achievements from last year's FIFA installment will be quite familiar with this feature. Essentially though, you'll begin with a Bronze pack of cards with which to make an online team. As you use those players you'll earn credit which you can then use to purchase better packs of Silver and Gold cards to improve your team with higher rated players, including an option to use real money to get more packs if you're impatient. There will also be rare "Legend" cards that will have current players using not their current stats, but the stats they had when they were at their prime.
This content is due sometime in January, and again, will be free to all. No word on any achievements, but since the FIFA version had them and Madden has already had one batch of achievements, it is a strong possibility.
For a more in-depth look at the feature, check out the preview over at Gamespot.
