The advantage of merging two large publishers together is no doubt the ability to share resources, and it seems like Deus Ex 3 will be the first to benefit from the Eidos and Square Enix partnership.
Eidos Montreal's GM, Stephane D'Astous, told Edge of his excitement over this partnership, "The cinematics—by which I mean any CGI pre-rendered cinematics — are going to be done in Tokyo by Square Enix, and that's going to be amazing."
To what sort of extent can we see this collaboration in motion with Deus Ex 3 though? D'Astous commented, "We already have some pre-visualisations... The people in Tokyo are just so glad to work on it; this is the first project for them that's a non-Final Fantasy title— they even want to work on Thief 4 too, so everyone is really excited."
Good news no doubt for all Deus Ex - and even Thief fans - as Square Enix is undoubtedly one of the best studios for crafting pre-rendered CGIs... and that's a fact.
