Far Cry 3 Not Destined to Return to Africa

Despite Far Cry's Creative Director, Patrick Reading, stating that the team had a commitment to Africa last year, it appears that it might not be as clean cut for Far Cry 3 as he'd initially made out.
A source from inside Ubisoft Montreal told IncGamers, that it stands a good chance that Far Cry 3 would be set "outside" of Africa. "We're still in very early development and we have no idea where it's going to be set, but I'm pretty sure that it won't be in Africa," said the source.
Of course, with them still being in preliminary stages, that is still subject to change, but IncGamers paraphrasing the source commented, "it was more than likely going to be set outside of Africa and somewhere completely new."
Retreading familiar ground is never a wise move for a sequel, so this is more than welcome news. We hear it's going to take place on the third moon of Jupiter and instead of spreading fire using the impressive Dunia tech, you'll shoot flowers and spread rainbows of colour with your LSD rifle. Feel free to quote me on that as well.
