Fairytale Fights Demo to Drop Today, RRP Slashed

Playlogic just sent word that a demo for their recently released Fairytale Fights title would hit Xbox Live sometime today.

The demo is set to feature a "90 second countdown timer, offering players the chance to experience firsthand the blood stained mayhem and visceral thrill of carving up enemies with a range of weaponry and glory attacks!" Surely they can't mean a 90 second demo? Looks like we'll find out later.

Playlogic also noted that they were slashing the RRP of the title just in time for the holidays in both North America and Europe. No word in the press release regarding the new price, but cheaper is always better, right? Whether it'll be worth that new price, well, you'll have to check out our review to find that out.

  • Heyyy, finally a demo for it :) The reviews did not sound too encouraging for the game, but a demo will at least allow me to try it firsthand... Now if only AC2 did the same...
  • Lol xplay gave this game a 2 out of 5 they said you pay 60 bucks for a at most 10 dollar download game.
  • My girlfriend bought this game and it looks like rubbish when i was watching her i didnt bother even playing it and i usually give most games a try. Dont bother with it :P Rent it if your curious just dont waste your money on buying it ahah
  • wow a 90 second demo?? surely not.
  • @3 or download the demo :P
  • I always thought this game was a joke, then I saw it at the store. Will give the demo a try, but not interested in buying.
  • will check the demo out later to try it for myself. reviews don't sound very encourging for this title.
  • Great, but where the hell is the patch?!?! The game is crippled, with at least three achievements being unattainable, and others are glitchy as hell, almost to the point of being random. I know that I am in the minority, but I loved the game... but they need to patch it now.
  • this game is crap, don't even bother with the demo :) Sold my copy already.
  • Looks like the price drop was to $39.99
  • i wanted this but the review scores are really bad will try demo when silvers can download
  • It takes longer to download than it does to play? Not even worth it.
  • game is retailing for $39.99 at gamestop currently
  • 90 bloody seconds? Jeese. Makes you wonder how long the actual game is, lol.
  • slashing the price only a month after a release is great for those who don't have the game....but there a couple of us who may have paid full retail. Early adopters should be given more than just the free DLC that anyone could sign up for.
  • I got the game when it was first released for $20 (had some dough left from Gamestop's trade-in special). It's a fun hack n slash for those who like or love hack n slash. Very glitchy, but still fun. Throw in some fun platforming segments and loads of blood and gore and it makes for enjoyable time. I can see people wanting it to be cheaper though.
  • Like number 8 said, where is the fricking patch? I started playing when it came out then suddenly read of all the achievement glitches and stopped.I want to try and finish it off dammit!
  • I have just rented Fairytale fights, feel like an idiot, it's bugged to living hell!!!
  • I seen a screenshot and laughed to myself.
  • i check out the demo it never really looked like it would work anyway
  • already down at like £22 at gamestation
  • This game looks like a great rental. Cool story (It looks like) and might be ok?
  • Bought this 3 weeks ago for £18 because the wife thought it looked like a fun game we could enjoy together. It's not even been unwrapped yet.
  • I was really looking forward to this game when I first heard of it in the Summer - but when I got my hands on it at the Eurogamer Expo I was very disappointed by it. No wonder the price has been slashed. To be honest I wouldn't pay anything over 20 quid.
  • This game is the disappointment of the year for me. It could have been a lot of fun, bloody mayhem with a lot of humor, but it's terrible. I wouldn't play the game unless Playlogic paid me . . . if then.
  • That might be the poorest excuse for a demo I've ever played. An actual level or part of one would be nice instead of just randomly hacking and slashing for 90 seconds.
