True Crime: Hong Kong
New True Crime Sends You Undercover in Hong Kong

Activision and United Front Games today detailed their upcoming fall 2010 title, True Crime, after its debut showing at this year's VGAs on Saturday.

The Hong Kong based open-world, sandbox title has been inspired by classic Hollywood and Asian action thrillers and built from the ground up by the Vancouver based developer. Hong Kong is delivered with diverse neighbourhoods that range from the high class Central HK, to the more gritty fish markets of downtown Aberdeen (not Scotland!).

You'll play Wei Shen, a detective who has to infiltrate a notorious Triad crime syndicate. You must do whatever it takes to stay undetected and survive, whilst balancing your moral duty as a cop and performing your mission. You'll be kung fu fighting, get involved in explosive gunfights, take part in fast paced car chases, and there's even a little free-running.

True Crime is expected to ship some time in fall 2010. Head here to see Saturday night's VGA trailer.

As long as that annoying motherfucker from the first game isn't in it, I'll give it a shot.

The first 2 games blew, first one was "ok" but nothing more then a retarded glitch fest.

The story was never something good either.. hunting dragons? I mean wtf.

The second game was a total SHITBOMB with only 1 good thing, the intro song...

Fuck True crime

Not the greatest news ever, although I did enjoy the first one (when it didn't fuck up) so yeah, might be good, might be bad, might be average.

I agree with u, just the HK setting is enough for me to be interested! Looks great so far, hope its better than the others....

Still, its a buy for me!

I'm still waiting for the definitive Kung Fu game tho....

the previous installments have sucked big time, but hong kong and the triads with a bit of free running sounds good, lets hope they dont fuck it up.

The last 2 games were amazing! I don't know how you could not like them. Anyways, that's besides the point. I have been wanting another true crime game for years, but NOT in HONG KONG! This game is just gonna be a copy of stranglehold with free roaming capabilities. Why not make it in Chicago or something? You already made the first two in the two biggest cities in the U.S. Why not make it in the third largest city, Chicago?
