DJ Hero Sequel On Its Wicky-Wicky-Way

Activision has just issued a press release for this year's MIDEM event, a music trade show where the publisher is hosting an exclusive Listening Session, giving upcoming musicians the opportunity to submit a potentially winning song which will then be mastered, mixed, "and featured in a future installment of DJ Hero."
Woah there! Re-re-rewind. What was that? A future installment of DJ Hero, you say? We'll take that as confirmation of a DJ Hero sequel then, especially given that a couple of weeks ago, popular DJ David Guetta revealed that he'd again be contributing his tunes to DJ Hero 2.
The news follows poor performance reports for the previous game, which sold just 211,000 units in November. Similarly, Activision's Tony Hawk's: Ride managed to scrape a mere 114,000 units sold in the same month.
Seems Activision will continue to make sequels to franchises that require pricey plastic peripherals anyway, despite the market not actually being there. Discuss.
