Kalypso Media today announced that their decent (although not perfect) strategy sim, Tropico 3, would be landing on North American shores on February 16th.
The strategy sim, which has been out in Europe for some time, allows players to step into the shoes of El Presidente as he looks to rule a small island in the Caribbean during the Cold War.
Seeing as it's your island, the choices you make are entirely yours. If you want to create a tourist-friendly holiday getaway, sure, why not? Equally, if you want to ramp up the military presence and declare martial law whilst assassinating those who go against you, carry on governor.
Tropico 3 is out in North America on February 16th and out in Europe now... It's a shame that they haven't fixed the save bug which held the title back from greatness. It's only going to retail at $40 though... so it might be worth a dabble if you're a strategy fan.
