  • Peggle? Huh. Pretty impressive sales from Battlefield 1943 as well. Why is the article by no one?
  • Good God...
  • Now Dice needs to bring map packs with possibly extra classes into Battlefield 1943! Who doesn't want to play as a Shotgun or LMG class? :P
  • Hopefully Doom 2, Perfect dark and quake arena will be released soon. They will generated loads of money on XBLA....
  • @#1 - Ghost writers! Either that or Rich forgot to put his name (he's added it now btw) =P
  • Dice have already announced they're working on premium DLC for BF:1943.. and there was mention of a possible sequel. Once they finish wrapping up BC2 we should find out more details.
  • Yeah, when you look at those stats for BF1943 - it is really stupid that they haven't cashed in more on it by adding some new DLC, like a map or two.
  • @1: Don't be hatin' on Peggle. Fairly impressive sales all around, I must admit.
  • if only goldeneye was aloud on the 360, that would have sold more than all of them...
  • I like how all of them but Turtles in Time (the bottom one) have been either DotW or Holiday Deals xD Just goes to show we're suckers for 'bargains'
  • Family Game night is 7 games that are $10 each, that's cheating, lol.
  • #4 it wouldn't surprise me in the least if at least doom2 and PD were SummerofArcadeII titles. #10 TrialsHD wasn't a deal anytime that I saw. I would have purchased it. (I don't want to pay full price for 160 achievement points.(
  • Comment #10 by Avenged Remains Friday, February 05, 2010 @ 09:11:11 AM I like how all of them but Turtles in Time (the bottom one) have been either DotW or Holiday Deals xD Just goes to show we're suckers for 'bargains' I don't believe Trials HD has been either
  • Actually, was Trials HD ever reduced for some reason? Can't remember it being in the UK, but thought I'd read it had been somewhere else =/
  • i will say this, i may agree that some of those games beat out others in revenue, but definitely not by volume. When you take into consideration that some of those games cost $20 {1600msp} where as others are only $10 {800msp}. So to say that Battlefield sold the most copies when it's cost is so high compared to others is crap.
  • I feel sorry for the rough times in the game industry, the must be eating peanutbutter with jelly all the time.
  • I've enjoyed some great new XBLA games and some good classics at the nice discounts. Sure hope the discounts continue. $103.4M = 1.2925M MS Points. :)
  • err... $103.4M = 12.925M MS Points.
  • @15, to get a rough estimate of the number of copies sold, divide the total revenue by the average price. If you do this, you see that Battlefield is still ahead in number of copies sold by a mile.
  • #18 are you sure that is right, I would think its more MSP than that. Although the figure is in dollars...
  • $100,000,000 = 80,000,000 MSP Because $10.00 = 800 MSP
  • @20 - Based on $20.00 per 1600 points then $1.00 = 80 points. $130.4M * 80 points = 10.432B MS Points. Yeah, I failed at the math in earlier posts. Not just once, but twice. Doh! :)
  • Heh, they need an edit button... or I need to learn to use a calculator.
  • How did Castle Crashers sell 200,000 more copies then Battlefield 1943, at the same average prince, and generated $5.2 million less in revenue?
  • People bought the hell outta CC when it was DotW
  • The DotW price was 560 points ($7). 1 million copies sold with revenue of $7.3 million would be an average price of $7.30, not $15. This would also mean that almost nobody bought the game at full price.
  • Cool
  • Figured Shadow Complex would of been higher up there. Think that has been my all time favorite XBLA game so far. Trials is good but more of a OMFG &%#^ this type of game than I usually enjoy. Castle Crashers got really old really fast, but it was still fun with a buddy.
  • No Trials HD?
  • #21 you cant actually count like that since the prices differ worldwide. In Germany 800 MSP = 10 Euro = 13,69$ 2100 MSP = 25Euro = 34,22$ !! Is guess somewhere else its even worse So the whole thing is not precisely to calculate.
  • any one wanna help me in gettin achievements in game send me a friend request XxHakuXx IJiNI send me a FR to help me get to 100,000 im at 20,000... Send me a friend request
  • Castle Crashers and Shadow Complex FTW!
  • @30 - In australia we pay 27.50 for 1500 MSP in store. It works out better for us to buy it using CC on XBL.
  • @31 - Stop using news threads as an achievement trading thread, especially when your being so general and over the top in your request. Your asking people to help you get 80,000GS which equates to roughly 80 completely K'd titles. Do you realise how insane that is to ask someone to help you with?
