Ubisoft has sent us the launch trailer for the latest downloadable Assassin's Creed II episode, entitled Bonfire of the Vanities.

Following sequence 12 - The Battle of Forli, Bonfire of the Vanities enables you to play sequence 13, which sees Ezio travelling back to Florence in order to foil Girolamo Savonarola - a mysterious black-robed monk who has used the Apple to persuade nine of Italy's most influential people to aid him in taking control of Firenze.

Naturally, this means getting stabby with Ezio once again, as you embark upon more exciting assassinations.

The DLC is out tomorrow on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 320 Microsoft Points.

I returned the game lol once completing it and having to play for sequences that should have been in the game in the first place, decided it wasnt worth it. i'll get a used copy when its 10$ like the first is now.

@#4 Back up your information that this wasn't taken from the game BECAUSE they wanted it out BEFORE 2010. They also gave you a 15hr game for $60/£40. You really can not complain when the dlc is this cheap.

#2 just like every other sequence in the game, it has about an hour of content.

@#2 this wasn't taken from the game, they just didn't have time to put it in and release the game before 2010. More people would've complained over a delayed game for everyone than DLC that could have given you a couple of more hours of gameplay. People's complaints are getting old. What's done is done, so take you complaints and leave with them preferably still in your thick heads.

My problem with this DLC is a case of "what's the point?" I absolutely loved playing through this but I don't really see how these two lost memories really do much of anything for the story or gameplay experience.

Well there's supposed to be a new ability in this, and it's touted as more interesting than the other one was...the other one gave people a chance to get the flying achievement again, so really, coupled with the way the achievements were laid out they obviously put more work into these new sequences.

maybe, if they had wanted to avoid such criticism over making people pay for things that "should have been in the full game" (but im not agreeing or disagreeing with that) Ubisoft could have found a better way to integrate them into the game than have people believe they were missing content from the start by calling the sequences corrupted and moving on- granted though, it is very fairly priced.

iv always wondered whether milkshake is good heated up, turns out the answer is no. Anyway on an unrelated note has anyone seen Solomon Kane? if so what do you think :)

@16 Thats what they shoulda done instead of in the game having achievements for sequence 1-11 and 14 you would of figured there would of been ones for 12 and 13.

good game...
but this whole dlc with ac2 is a fucken rip off...
basically yu'll end up paying 640 total ms points for these two sequences that make up maybe a few hours of game play, that the game should have already included, and yu wind up with no new achievements, weapons, moves, outfits, etc.

i fail to see how any of these two add ons are in fact add ons...

all they did was make you pay for what the game should have already had....

Its a shame these DLCs were left out of the original game would have easily been GOTY if they hadn't gutted them for DLC. Oh well I might pick these DLCs up one day when I feel like replaying the game the way it was suppose to be

I think I'll pass on this one. Bought the last DLC and finished it in a mere 25 mins...FAIL!! I'll wait for the game WITH DLC. Blood-sucking game companys selling 320-800 point DLCs that you can complete in half the time it takes you to DOWNLOAD the DLC. Garbage.

I agree with #11 completely.

and having no achievements in a DLC pack is also a good chance to keep it free since it's just filling in what could have been there if they had more time. But at least they aren't 800 points each.. also the fact that they don't effect my 100% completion I don't have much reason to BUY these add-ons especially with the DLC I'm already planning on getting.

I can't believe that they bundled the 3 Templar Lair's with Bonfires of the Vanities. Guess it's the 320 Bonfires for me, because I have the Master Assassins Edition that has 2 of the 3 already, so why pay for 2 that I already have?

yeah... I also dislike that I have to re-pay. I have the 2 templar lairs as well... why do I have to buy them again just to get the 3rd one... they should have just made them standalone... and since the DLC packs have no achievements I won't be getting them...

I'm shocked at the number of people that won't buy this DLC because there are no achievements. sure, achievements are nice, but they shouldn't be the sole reason why you don't want to buy something.
