Hmm, shotguns AND chainsaws? Definitely worth trying the demo!Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 12:02 PM
Shank looks awesome. Reminds me of Double Dragon / Streets of Fury.Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 12:07 PM
They both look amazing!! I hope they start bringing more and more of this stuff. I always thought PSstore was way better then XBLA in terms of unique/original content. Maybe it will change this year^^Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 12:58 PM
Looks cool IF I WAS BORED OUTTA MY MIND second video is funnyThursday, March 04, 2010 @ 01:00 PM
Wow, when i read the title, it sounded like video games were going rated R :) Seriously, deathspank looks amazing, and shank will need to convince me more.Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 01:16 PM
Shank looks GODLYThursday, March 04, 2010 @ 01:32 PM
Looking forward to Shank. There are so few 2d beat 'em ups these days that every new one I come across instantly gets my attention.Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 02:23 PM
Not sure about DeathSpank, though it looks like it could be fun. Shank, however, looks epic. Can't wait to play that!Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 02:32 PM
Wasn't that interested when I read the title, but after watching these trailers, these look like fun games. I look forward to playing these 2 games. Not too sure about the art style of Shank, but with few NEW beat em up games these days, I'll have to check it out. @15 I totally agree. Too bad there isn't more of them around.Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 03:00 PM
Haha, MST3K came up with the name "Death Spank" during their big riff on USA Network original movies during the credits for the movie "Outlaw". Awesome to see a game developer turning around and using it.Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 04:00 PM
Looks GREATThursday, March 04, 2010 @ 04:07 PM
shank looks cool death spank looks like itll drag. I never pay more then 800ms points for an arcade game so hopefully they start there if not DOTW ill be waiting.Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 06:36 PM
Shank looks like The Dishwasher which is a very, very good thing. :DThursday, March 04, 2010 @ 07:21 PM
Saw both at PAX and they were awesome.Thursday, March 04, 2010 @ 08:10 PM
both look greatThursday, March 04, 2010 @ 11:23 PM
For a second there i thought it was one game called Deathspank and Shank, that name conjures up some twisted buddy cop visions. Shank looks awesome, like a Rambo version of The Dishwasher Samurai, really couldnt tell what the hell was going on in Deathspank...Friday, March 05, 2010 @ 07:42 AM
This is fucking amazing! Thank you, EA!Friday, June 25, 2010 @ 04:05 PM
DeathSpank looks like a lot of fun, the art style reminds me of Torchlight on the pc. Will be getting DeathSpank for sure.

EA Partners, a division of Electronic Arts, have announced they will be collaborating with two indie developers to bring their creations to the Xbox Live Arcade this year. Hothead Games (Penny Arcade Adventures) is developing DeathSpank, the brainchild of Ron Gilbert, which he describes as a cross between Monkey Island and Diablo. Klei Entertainment (Eets: Chowdown, N+) will offer Shank, a 2D side-scrolling beat'em up.
This publishing deal is similar to Take-Two's "2K Play" division which brought us Axel & Pixel and The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom, aiming at more creative, interesting and fresh ideas from today's best developers.
We have two Shank screens and two DeathSpank screens in their respective galleries and the debut trailers of each (which first appeared at last year's PAX) embedded below for your viewing pleasure.
Let me be the first to say that both of these look brutally awesome.
