Dante's Inferno is getting its substantial Trials of St. Lucia DLC next week, and so in preparation, Visceral Games has put together a helpful user video to hold you by the hand and guide you through building your own personal hell.

Introducing co-op and the powerful level-creation tool, the DLC pack bundles the winged demon-slaying St. Lucia of Syracuse as Dante's new guardian angel companion with six customisable arenas wherein you can add up to 25 waves of hellspawn.

You can tweak pretty much every aspect of your custom level, including difficulty, enemy numbers and much more, which all goes towards a cumulative medal score. Once you're happy with your level, you can test it out and then share it with the world.

Trials of St. Lucia is out on April 29th and will cost 800 Microsoft Points.

  • I was put off from the 1st game but thus looks different not sure if this different is good though...
  • I might end up buying the game if DLC is good.
  • why cant other developers do that for their games? because its a fuckin awesome thing!
  • That's awesome! My brother's going to be psyched about this. 4th :P
  • @3 other developers dont do it because microsoft dont let them. They feel that people wont buy map packs if they can get hold of custom levels at any time. They stopped valve from doing on with L4D2. However this will be wicked so maby other developers will sort out a way to do this without microsoft bitching and moaning about it.
  • @#4 How do you get that Gamerpic ? Or anyone else can you help ? On Topics ;) I traded in this one a while back, DLC no reason to re-buy
  • OOps sorry first time....It would be good to mess around with levels and test your skills but without any more achivo's there's reall no point!!
  • dont like the game enough to give this a try.
  • Does this have achievements? I'll be getting it reguardless anyway.
  • Wow. This looks... Awesome! Could be a real game-changer for 'em! If it's a good Co-op, the level editor is tight, and achievements, I know what game I'M buying soon! You guys will do a review for this DLC... right?
  • God damn just spent my points on the Passing, which is amazing, haven't played this in a while though, it is quite good.
  • @10 The PS3 DLC has 10 trophies, but who knows at this point if the 360 DLC will have achievements.
  • @1 There's only one game... Which is Dante's Inferno... Anyhow, glad I saved my points and WOW surprised it's only 800.
  • Can't wait, this looks sweet. looks like it will add a lot more game play (unlike the dark forest DLC) :)
  • Level-building software is under-appreciated, though none yet have lived up to the glory of Tenchu 2.
  • Looks really cool...to bad I dont have the game anymore....hey Gamefly wanna be friends lol
  • The demo was okay, didn't make me buy the game. But User created content for a game like this is really neat. May have to buy the game after all.
  • Hope it's better than the first DLC, that was a huge was of Microsoft points.
  • More games should include some sort of editor. I have more fun creating stuff and playing the game, than if they didn't include one. I will be getting this DLC.
  • at #7 you cam make photos of your avatar in the avatar-design menu(dont know how is the real name.) there you can choose to make a gamertag pic..
  • They should have delayed the release and have that stuff included in the main game but that wouldn't be enough money for them obviously. Its like most developers say: Why release a finished game when we could just throw it out now and extra ca$h for the rest later?
  • 800 for 9 minutes of play again???????????
  • @ #5 No, the reason L4D2 didn't ship with a map editor is because the PC version of it is the actually SDK valve used to create the content. It would be next to impossible to actually use it with a controller. Not to mention take up too much space. The real reason most games don't have one is because it takes time to make an in-game editor, and not every game needs it or can use it well. Microsoft is worried about User created content, but that's mostly about "not safe for children"" type of things, and most companies get around that.
  • this game is amazing i love it its got evrythin init excellent story, leveling up,upgrading plus more then the combat is spot on and how u have 2 search for relicks and its in HELL its a gore fest defo 1 ov my fav games of the year and i only need 2 achievments then thats it prob wont play it again boo hoo unless they bring a major add-on with a few decent size chapters i hate it wen its like 800 points for a level which teks half hour streight rip off
  • wow trials of st lucia is going to be the most disappointing dlc in a while, why the hell would i want to pop in a video game and work? wtf is this? i pay good money so i can enjoy a video game, i dont want to have to make it myself, i thought thats what game designers did... EPIC FAIL DLC
  • @26 you're a tard. It isn't create yourself idiot. You can create levels yourself, it's not required. Idiot.
  • @27 i know moron. i just think this video of them telling us how to build a level and waste our time doing their work is stupid.
  • @TheBarrY151 So instead of getting extra content you can customize ON TOP of the trials themselves is a waste? It seems like spend your parents money anyways, they probably feel bad for you being like how you ended up...you know...on the slower side.
  • @5 What? How has that got anything to do with it, console games rarely have map editors even when they are not published by microsoft. Just like Half life 2 on xbox, I know it was an xbox exclusive but it didn't have anything to do with microsoft so L4D 2 just has not got an editor cause valve didn't want to create a specialized editor for consoles.
  • @13 I don't think that this will have achievements. If it does they would have to be different than the PS3 trophies. The trophies were all things like "Get X medals of Y type on community challenges." That sounds like playing levels other players have created and doing well at them. But while the PS3 supports sharing user-created content (LBP is the best example) the 360 and Microsoft don't. It's probably for the best though. Gives me less reason to drop $10 more on this mediocre game. I still regret giving them $5 for 10 minutes of game play for Dark Forest.
  • @28You know thats not even considered work right. Try REAL level design with REAL editors and then bitch and moan.
  • I skipped all the current DI DLC because they are shitty imo. Been looking forward to this one!
  • Looks epic.. Too bad i'm kindda broke and want ODST, and RDR, and soon MGS Rising, and have to buy sigarettes.. I ain't no money tree, that's for sure D:
  • If it ain't got no achievements it can SUCK MY STUMP !!!
  • I was expecting this to be 1200 points so definitely going to get it. Achievements would be nice though
  • @26 ever heard of TRackmania?thats a game pretty much based around its moddability. Use the Source SDK,or Unreal Engine 3,or any other 3d level editor/mod tool then whine.I used souce SDK,and its tough to make anything but its a very powerful editor
  • Why couldn't they actually have included this when it was released? A lot more people, including myself, would have bought this game.
  • #38: Amazes me that people still ask those type of questions. Like we haven't seen these kind of strategies from publishers before. You should have a number of ideas why and why not it wasn't included on the retail disc. And we have known about this DLC (at least) since the initial release of the game when the disc itself even had a trailer for this upcoming dlc. And what's keeping you from buying the game now? A few months old and it still holds up remarkably well. What'ya know,
  • Still not intrested but i just noticed this is one of the few games where users on average have given it a higher rating than x360a.org......thats rare HMMMMMM
  • Love the Game, but I am not sure if I am gonna spend the Microsoft Pts for this...we will see
  • Looks amazing and very interesting, i`d love to make my own levels and stuff but guess what Viceral i won`t pay for content that should be already in the game.
  • wow. didnt see this coming. i kinda wanted to get this game but now im extremely interested. and yes i hope this dlc comes with chievos. didnt the dark forest come with some chievos?
  • i only use it for the achievements
