  • WTF is this only a level editor?
  • hmm 1290 bit odd must mean more dlc coming out soon
  • @12 Are you blind Trials of St. Lucia DLC it states that up there.
  • *@2
  • About to start this game myself. Probably will get both dlc anyway. Evil completionist addiction lol.
  • "WTF is this only a level editor?" Yes. Thats basically what this is but its also a new character and co-op. Its called trials of St Lucia for a reason.
  • damn multiplayer achiev.
  • Agree with #2 that its a odd number. @3 What has that to do with what #2 wrote????
  • I'll wait for this to become a deal of the week, not worth the 800 points same for dark forest.
  • This looked pretty interesting from the trailer, but like #9, I will also wait until it's reduced I think. I think 800 MSP is a bit pricey for what it is. 400/560 MSP would have sold it for me...
  • Am I wrong in thinking this game died in its first week, so why more DLC?
  • #9 and #10 - You cheapskates... tis a full on map editor and where do you see map editors on games nowadays going cheap? Anyway, not played the act game but liked the demo will pick this up soon wnna test this map editor sounds good.
  • Damn, this game was hyped to the moon and turned out to be nothing but mediocre at best. I think I'll give it a pass altogether.
  • @ 12 - So, you're calling them cheap skates for their opinion yet you've never played the full game. A bit hypocritical I might presume. I'm not interested in this unless it's some kind of deal. Game was ok, nice God of War substitution for 360'ers but I don't feel it's a game that requires a level editor. Sorry, I'll spend my well earned money on Red Dead Redemption, Transformers: War for Cybertron, Alan Wake or something else worth the dough.
  • 1290. OMG that's ugly. For all the people shouting every time they add DLC without a full 250G, now are you happy ? "Only" 210G would have been fine for me and the game would have looked nicer with 1250G.
  • Well I am glad I never got the original 1k GS like I planned in Dante's **** Inferno. I ended up with 765GS in one playthrough I think and then just returned it in the mail. I hated the game.
  • I agree. Only 1295 would have been worse. I hope they add some DLC to get the score up to a more even number but i doubt it. If they cared they would have added another 10G achievement for this DLC.
  • @12 800 MSP would be worth it if this was a bolt-on to an existing MP system that was actually active. The fact of the matter is, this is an MP bolt-on to an SP-focussed game that came out a long time ago, and one that didn't have a lot of appeal to continue playing once the SP story was done...
  • "For all the people shouting every time they add DLC without a full 250G, now are you happy?" Yes I am very happy. If the most they can add on any DLC is 250 GamerScore, and that's on a per quarter basis, and they don't plan on releasing anything else that quarter, then for the love of God use it all. Even as particular as I am about numbers and 1290 just screams give me 10 more points, at the end of the day I'd rather pay 800 MS points for 250 points over paying 800 MS points for 210 points. It's a numbers thing.
  • Dante and Lucia? That reminded me of Devil May Cry 2. If anybody remembers that one, Lucia was one of the characters in the game. Maybe the developers were inspired by the DMC series (who am I kidding here!?) or just a mere coincidence
  • So I just wait a month until people have figured out how to make easy maps that still get a high ranking. Still not sure about the score. Is that overall from all your trials you did or do you have to get 250.000 in one go?
  • I could care less if they released whatever dlc with 1 achievement for 10 points. So long as the dlc has some longevity and/or replay value with some achievements makes me a happy buyer. I started out buying dlc based off it's achievements only to be disappointed with SW:FU's Hoth dlc containing NO achievements. The funny part? It was actually fun. So long as the dev/pub takes care of the dlc and makes it worth while, screw achievements.
  • Yikes - some of those look like a real grind. I had planned on getting this, but I might have to be content with 1040 in the game...unless a guide comes out to help crank it out in a couple days or something.
  • pass.
  • No longer have the game :( what a shame.
  • DAMN YOU EA! It's one thing to have shitty MP achievements for a single player game, but to also have DLC this late in the game... WTF
  • Good I didn't buy this game. Gonna wait till all the dlc comes out and they release some nice packaged or bundled version like they always do. Enough sucking me for money like GoW2^^
  • @ 26 - DLC doesn't need a time frame. It could be released well over a year later IMO. The Force Unleashed dlc was a bit short but well done over the period of time it was all released. Some devs/pubs have it in mind to release DLC right away while others finish the original product then begin dlc or it's cut and has to be reworked in (Assassins Creed 2). Devs/pubs don't exactly have these things on a shelf ready to pull out for release. The sad truth is that when it comes to release, some devs don't take full precautions with testing and bug removal.
  • I hope this will be the last DLC for this game. It wasn't that great to start with and Dark Forest was the biggest waste of MS points I've ever seen. I'll get this eventually like others have stated because I am a completionist whore.
  • @ 20, yeah I;m sure it has some type of plot connection cause Dante's Inferno is a God Of War, and Devil May Cry rip off. It strived to be what those games were and more but it wasn't///,,,,
  • Visceral f'ed up, thanks I throughly enjoy being robbed of actually completing your shitty game, you will be receiving an invoice in the mail for my hourly rate to play this junk, with all the advertising paid by EA this bombed hard and trying to squeeze more out of the unlucky that actually fell for the hype isn't the brightest idea, I thought EA had worked some of this DLC re-hash MS point grab games out e.g. Battefield & L4Friends
  • @30 *sigh* MORE of this 'DANTE'S INFERNO IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS GOD OF WAR' bullshit? does NO ONE remember when everyone was saying how God Of War was just a huge rip-off of Prince Of Persia? No one? But still, thanks EA for totally screwing up my completion percentage. I still refuse to buy your DLC.
  • bought this game today, and its awesome, deffo buying this
  • man there are some seriously bitter people in this thread. do you people enjoy games or you you prefer to spend all your time complaining??
  • @20 st lucia is in the poem that this game is based around
  • Dantes was good and other than being a too short I had a lot of fun playing it and if I owned it I would probably get this DLC. It sure beats lame 20 minutes worth of game play dark forest DLC.
  • Trials of St. Lucia isn't ment to be out until tomorrow, April 29th according to the on-disc trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHqgHxNmxnQ
  • Article says this is out today, but isn't it scheduled for tomorrow?
  • @20 I don't know DMC, but I believe they used the names from the original poem in that game, so actually DMC got it from Dante's Inferno.
  • @39 DMC was out well before Dante's Inferno, so actually they both got it from The Divine Comedy.
  • As written before.. this is scheduled to come out tomorrow and still there's a launch trailer out saying it's available now
  • Well, either way the facebook page for the game says it's out tomorrow, so it's a safe bet that it will be a no-show today.
  • @ 31 - HA! Boy I'd love to be there when they piss all over your invoice. News flash sonny jim - They don't got to pay YOU jack. YOU bought THEIR product. Your loss if you didn't like it. I fairly enjoyed the game. I read the book and can take "revamping" for a games sake. @ 32 - I've said before, if you're going to copy something, at least do it right. This compared to GoW is a triumph. It was enjoyable and brutal. Granted, there could've been way more content but the initial "descent into hell" felt true to vision. On your Prince of Persia comment - I know why there wasn't any complaints. Because they WEREN'T copycats. PoP had many more subtle differences especially in the main character portrayal, weapons, mythology, etc. I really only liked Warrior Within anyway. God of War is WAY
  • ...more epic IMO. Damn cut off.
  • Has it been determined yet if the 2 player is only for the edited levels, or also for the full game?
  • @45 , if you watch the launch trailer you can see the two player function in the full game also
  • @20 Read the poem ;)
  • #2 Not Neccessarily Remember Star Wars Unleashed? Still Standin Proud at 1345
  • To me it looks like this dlc or the achievements rather are nice because its finally giving you a reason to play the game more. People hated because it was short and there really is no substantial reason to replay it. The real problem is game pricing i feel like many more people wouldnt have cried like little girls if this game came out at a 40 dollar price point.
  • this game sucked balls!!!! i wouldnt do the dlc even if they bought it for me!!!
  • Ah scrap it sitting on 1000 for this game and that will do me, bring on more mass effect 2 dlc!!!
  • Meh...think I'll just play this offline to get a 1000 on it and earn a completion.
  • when i get this game i will get the darkforest and st. lucia dlc. im just waiting for the game to drop in price.
  • Wonder how long it is going to take for someone to make a really easy Community Trial to make the other achievements easier to obtain? :)
  • I hate such weird numbers like 1290...I'd rather have 1250.
  • @1 what do you mean "only a level editor"? A level editor can give you more gameplay then all the other DLC's combined! @54... God i hope so :P
  • The level editor video looked quite interesting...after completing the game (which I don't do all that often) I'm a bit sad that DLC has robbed me of it being done until I buy more stuff but maybe I will when I've finished what I'm playing already no rush.
  • The game itself wasnt very good but adding challenges and co-op might help. Getting medals in challenges made buy gamers for achievements sounds interesting and challenging to me. The lack of challenge was my biggest problem with the campaign. The difficulty levels felt off too.
  • Holy... There are some real bitchy little girls on this thread. I for one loved the game. Got my 1040, gonna complete it again. Hell, when I'm bored, I play thru the story again. Don't really give a crap about completion I just enjoy the game. A lot. You know, cause that's the point of games. Fun. If you didn't like the game, you shoulda rented it. If you rented it an didn't like it, you aren't out anything and you probably still got 700 or so GS so stop bitching. Doesn't sound like your type of game? Don't play it. 1290 is ugly? Jesus Christ it's a friggin number. I hope the next DLC takes it to 1427 and stops. No more 'pretty' scores for anyone. And to everyone arguing about what came from where, Dante's Inferno was an epic poem published in the year 1314 ad. For those younger kids out t
  • here, that's before the friggin GAMEBOY. The Divine Comedy shaped our modern christian view of hell itself, and people for hundreds of years have tried to illustrate this in different translations. One of the reasons I loved this game was purely for the imagery. And Dante from DMC and Lucia and Virgil and all other characters came from the Divine Comedy, so yes. Dante's Inferno came, oh, about 700 years before Devil May Cry. That's it. End of discussion. And as for everyone who disagrees, ...go to hell. Again.
  • ARGH!! stop I just 100% this
  • shit...............think il leave my score at 1000
