If you're a big football fan like myself, you're probably giddy with excitement this week, anticipating the beginning of this year's FIFA World Cup that kicks off on Friday in South Africa.
What better to fuel that World Cup fever than the first batch of FIFA 11 screenshots, which according to the accompanying press release, aims to show the team's dedication to "redefine player authenticity."
EA Sports are also taking time to talk up their new Personality+ mechanic, which is said to distinguish the individual players from one another using a database that takes into account 36 attributes and 57 traits. Personality+ doesn't just extend to outfield players, but also to goalkeepers as well, so if you have a Rene Higuita style keeper in your ranks, expect him to be an absolute nutter-butter on the pitch.
FIFA 11 will also feature a new "Pro Passing" system, whereby the pass accuracy is determined by your "ability on the control pad, and player skill, situation and urgency on the pitch," also allowing you to perform swerve passes as well so you can smash those Beckham like cross-field passes.
So yeah, the usual marketing fluff, now here's what you came to see... The screens! Check them all out in the gallery here.
