E3 2010: Is El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron the Catchiest Named Game Ever?

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is under development at Ignition's Tokyo studio, with Sawaki Takeyasu and Masato Kimura from Capcom and Clover heading up the creative talent.

A stylised, cel-shaded action game that looks like an anime (it could well be based on one for all we know), the bizarrely named El Shaddai is a fantasy action adventure that will be formally unveiled at E3 2010.

Details are pretty thin on the ground for now, but we'll no doubt bring you something more substantial from E3 next week.

We're not quite sure what to make of El Shaddai just yet... So, for now, check out the latest screenshots:
