E3 2010: Trine 2 to Make Puzzle Platforming an Online Co-Op Affair
Written By
View author's profile

Physics-based fantasy platformer Trine 2, is set to get a shot of teamplay with online 3-player co-op, making the first game's powerful knight, swift rogue and crafty wizard, a team of playable characters you'll be able to take online for this all-new adventure.

Boasting more action and more puzzles, Trine 2 goes one better than its predecessor, which was lacking an online option. Having no online 3-player co-op option seemed like a strange oversight for Trine 1, which also failed to make its way to XBLA.

Take a look at these nine brightly coloured screens and make your choice - knight, rogue or wizard - for tackling Trine 2's complex physics puzzles when it releases on XBLA in 2011.

@2. Fml. I didn't read the article thoroughly enough ;P. I'd literally just walked into my house and grabbed my iPod and flicked through it. My bad :).

I have Trine on PC and it's pretty fun. Online co op would have been a blast. I'll probably pick this up at some point.

I have the first Trine for the PS3, and there it was given the trophies of a full retail game. I wonder if it receive the same for Trine 2 on the XBLA... probably not.

@7 ... uhm, what? How is @2's comment racist? Or am I just replying to flamebait?

As for the game itself, those screenshots look pretty decent. Never played the first one, but I will keep an eye on this.

Fuck Trine 2, I'm still waiting for Trine on XBL as they announced in the beginning :( Not a big fan of Steam (or PS3) ;)
