Marvel vs. Capcom is all about the characters, which is exactly why previous installments have boasted some of the biggest rosters ever seen in a fighting game.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds should be no different with Ryu, Wolverine, Morrigan, Iron Man, Hulk, Chris Redfield, Captain America, Felicia, Dante and 'merc with a mouth' Deadpool being joined by today's newly unveiled characters, Chun-Li, Doctor Doom, Devil May Cry's Trish and the shape-shifting Super-Skrull as seen in many a Fantastic Four and X-Men story.
The four new characters are part of the ongoing drip feed of Marvel and Capcom fighters being slowly and agonisingly revealed leading up to the game's release, with this latest batch coming from Comic-Con in San Diego, alongside some new screens and three gameplay trailers.
The eagle-eyed among you might notice that one of the combo captions in the first video screams, 'Viewtiful!', which to us seems like a bit of a hint at one other character for the game - Viewtiful Joe. They'd be mad not to.
Check out the blistering, eye-popping Marvel vs. Capcom 3 gameplay videos, and the 14 new screens, one of which shows Deadpool doing his usual fourth-wall shattering stuff by beating an opponent with his energy bar. As you do.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be thwokking its way into games emporiums in spring 2011.
